"OSL is one of the worst companies that I have ever had the displeasure of working for. To start things off they make you use your personal phone for everything. You'll be made to download 5 apps developed by different companies. One of them is a group messaging app that never stops buzzing even if you’re not working. They require that you use #walmart s unprotected wifi to punch the clock. They literally have it set up so that if you're are not on this wifi that the public uses then you wont be able to punch in. If you raise concerns they are so dismissive with “well its never been a problem” I’m bringing it up because it is a problem. Its my personal phone, paid for with my money, charged with my electricity, filled with my personal information, its not a tool for OSL to supplement there lack of infrastructure with. They honestly cant spare a computer to allow employees to punch in? The three days of “training” you get are all company indoctrination, buzz-word bologna. They have three pillars and five core values, “people” appear on both lists. But let me tell you, if you're working for this company you're not the “people” they are talking about. The managers will make misogynistic comments about the trainer “x trainer is not here today so you'll get to look at a pretty girl all day”. The trainers fight over music and you can watch the passive aggressive behavior between the trainers build up over your three day of “training”. Your whole job is to sell cellphones but they wont spare one word to actually talk about phones features or plans. Another of the 5 apps is a learning center. Here you'll have over 90 courses dumped on you the moment your login is created. There is no real given order of the courses like, start here, do them one by one, this one next then finish here. When asked about the workload the trainer literally said if you're doing them you're working and you should be paid “but there is nothing stopping you from logging in at home and doing them”. For example one chunk of these consists of 5 videos. Each video is a child-like click through looking for gems to get the secret. In the middle of every video there is a break they estimate will take eight hours. During this they will make you pull up this sight and that app looking for information trying to “learn”. They don't set aside time for this so you'll be on the floor with your phone in your hand talking to customers. This makes it impossible to give enough attention to either the learning or the customer. To top all this off my pregnant fiancee and I woke up feeling horrible. She had a low temp and I had a headache and runny nose. Both the GM and DM didn't think it was a problem despite a global pandemic raging. They would have preferred me to come in and work with the public during all this. We went and got tested for COVID-19. After being harassed daily by both the DM and GM via text about my personal health and the health of my pregnant fiancee despite me constantly telling them the same timeline for test results each day. We thankfully found out we are fine. When I return to work, following the test results, I find the manager is not coming in and only two young employees are working with me. I was not even there for 5 min and they toss me the keys, which I have not been trained on, and walk away. At this point I don’t know where anything is located, like what is in this drawer or cupboard or what these keys even open. As soon as they walk away someone walks up wanting something out of a case but I don't know which one of these fist full of keys opens it. I call my manager and he does not care. I ask him about the training on the phones or plans or even what in the drawer and he tells me that I need to take it on myself to learn that stuff. I have never worked for a company like this."
