Menards

"I just left Menards in WSP where I had 4 VERY bad interactions with staff in a row. As I checked out, I heard another customer, at the top of her lungs wanting to speak to manager, and then stormed out. I then ran into her in the parking lot, where she explained the agregious behavior she experienced. We cheered each other up, had a good laugh and said, see you Lowe's! So long, Menards!"

"My one star review is not related to the store in general. It is related to experience that I had with an extremely rude and unprofessional employee Sydney on 02/10 at about 8:30pm . She was a shorter mature woman with an attitude. She was stocking the shelves in hardware when I came up to her. I asked if Menards carried certain tables. She described the product that Menards carried. I further elaborated about specific table I was looking for. Then she repeated the same information with the attitude and finished the sentence with the phrase “I do not how else I can explain it”. I said ‘thanks’ and started to walk away, but then I turned around to ask her name. As I turned around, I saw her making faces about me to the other employee with whom she was stocking the product. When I asked her name, she responded “it is Sydney I am sure that would love to hear from you”. It was said with a lot of sarcasm. I never had issues in this store before, in fact a different person from hardware helped me that day. He took me to the specific table I was asking about. He was very friendly. I think Sydney needs additional training to help with her limitation in explaining things to customers as well as her skills in customer service and professionalism. The store is good. Employees like Sydney leave a terrible impression on customers and ruin the hard work of the store and other employees."

"Their new carts make my joints hurt. Don't go here if you have mobility issues and can't handle carts with high handles. They don't have enough smaller carts to accommodate such issues."

"I usually go to Menards, over Depot or Lowes. It is easier to find items. Don't feel overwhelmed with sky-high shelvings. Slightly lower prices and quality in comparison (depending on what you get), but good value for the average person. It's like a Walmart to a Target, gets the job done without pretending to be poshy"

"I have shopped at Menards for close to 30 years now. I'm not stopping anytime soon. The West 7th Menards is a newly re-formatted store, and often still has stock when other Menards have long run out. The staff is always helpful and friendly here, and it seems they genuinely enjoy working here. Thankfully, the Black Friday deals have been extended to a 10 day sale, reducing the enormous crowds on Black Friday. When I was walking out of the store today, a guy with a backpack ran by me in the parking lot, followed by a security guard! As I was watching, the dude dumped half of his backpack, which was loaded with tools, then kept running with the security guard in hot pursuit. I picked up all the tools, and return them into the store. Tis the season. That security guard was determined to not let that guy go."
