Hanisch Bakery and Coffee Shop

"After waiting in a slow moving line (3 employees who were moving slower than a bakery I’ve ever been to) we were “welcomed” pretty curt and rude by the lady getting our donuts though we greeted them and showed nothing but pleasantness. We got a box of a half dozen donuts. We got out to our car only to find that they only put 5 donuts in. They hide the box behind the register until we paid so we had no way of checking. With the massive line behind us we went to our car and later discovered that they shorted us. On top of that, we asked for a blueberry cake donut and they gave us something else entirely! So…only 5 donuts showed up and only 4 were correct out of the paid for 6! The employees constantly had to turn around behind them to box each individual donut because of the amount of baked goods on top of their pastry case! This is such a waste of movement and energy for the employees. With all the banners from the ceiling we assumed this place would be amazing but the experience was pretty awful. You can’t be rude, slow moving, and not give people what they pay for."

"We used Hanisch Bakery for our wedding in Sept 2023 and we couldn’t have been happier! From the cake tasting experience to the final product it was an enjoyable, stress-free and delicious process! Our guests went back for seconds and thirds so make sure you order plenty because people are going to LOVE these cakes! Spice, Red Velvet and Salted Caramel were our flavors! We’ll be ordering a small anniversary cake next year! Thank you for the small town vibes and big city results!"
