Reviews of Bernard's Service & Parts Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram
"Came in for oil change and tire rotation. Nate helped me and was pleasant and very professional. Would recommend Bernard's and especially Nate to my friends."
"Brought our vehicle in for a routine oil change, mechanic claimed a rear seal was out and out bad I might add. This was covered under our warranty however i couldn't see any leaking anywhere and yes i looked thoroughly. They did the work, didn't get it done that day even tho they claimed it was only a 4 hour job... when we picked our vehicle up we immediately noticed the steering wheel was about 120deg off center to the right. Brought it back right away, the guy at the service desk was polite and said they would do an alignment to correct the problem however we heard the mechanic freaking out about it saying he wasn't anywhere near the front. Extremely Rude! So we have them do the alignment which did center the steering wheel back up however since then we could hear this loud clunk coming from the front every time we hit a bump and you could feel it in the steering wheel as well. After a few days I decided to jack the vehicle up and take a look. I could shake the driver side wheel about a quarter inch each way. Long story short the outer tie rod (the part you adjust to align the vehicle) was so far worn out that it was about to shear right off! I don't know if they sabotaged our vehicle or if it was already that far out. (Didn't make a sound or clunk til they touched it) but regardless it should have never been aligned and they should have immediately recommended the replacement of that part period! All I got to say is fishy fishy fish! To anyone out there reading this guys responses, 1st off I'm the boyfriend of the owner of the vehicle, it's both ours and her grandpa cosigned for us. People have others cosign all the time which puts the vehicle under someone else's name. 2nd the oil change was 2 months ago. 2 weeks later to get in for what seemed to me like a little warranty scam and another week wait for the alignment. Then another week almost 2 before I decided to find the problem myself and another week or 2 til I decided to leave a review. 3rd according to all my knowledge and research there is no preexisting issues that can possibly cause the the steering wheel to go half a turn off center overnight without causing other noticeable changes and if there was one how come they didn't find that but they certainly found a leaking rear end seal while doing an oil change? One thing is for certain, I think any real mechanic would have definitely found a tie rod if it was worn to the degree ours was when performing an alignment period! Pretty sure that's a safety risk. Now to the person responding on my review seemingly desperate to hide the truth of this matter, After all that you think we would come back and try to work it out with you? No you had your chances and judging by your responses I think your well educated in scamming people! Seems like you're trying to discredit my review with foolish technicalities when all your really doing is making your company look worse and making it more obvious for people to choose not to give you their business. Especially with the rude email you sent and your rude responses on a public review. Ya I think we will let the readers judge for themselves!!"
