Mexico Lindo Restaurant 600 East Superior Street, Duluth, MN 55802

"I came here with a friend at his suggestion because I said I had never been to Mexico Lindo. After we were seated on the outside patio, the hostess told us we needed to go to the bar and order. So we went inside to the bar and the bartender told us no, our order would be taken at the table. 30 minutes later, the table next to us, which came in after us, had their order taken and were served before us. On top of that, the chips and salsa were both bad- the chips were cold and mostly broken into small pieces with no flavor and the salsa was like water. We did ask for fresh chips which our server did bring out but they were still bland. For dinner, I ordered the street tacos with shrimp and a side of rice and beans. The tacos were very bland with little to no filling and the rice and beans were also lacking flavor. Not once did our server ask if we needed refills for our drinks and after waiting another 20 minutes to pay once we got the check, we decided to go inside and pay ourselves. I understand it is mid-March, technically "off-season", and that they weren't expecting as many people tonight. However, it was a sunny, 60 degree day so I would think they would have anticipated a bigger crowd. I really don't like leaving negative reviews and I am willing to give them another chance but tonight was very disappointing."

"Stopped here late yesterday evening for some margaritas and spicy entrées with my boyfriend and we were very pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. I would 100% recommend visiting this restaurant if anyone is looking to eat some Mexican food in a comfortable, cozy, authentic feeling atmosphere. I wish I could remember the bartender's name because her service was absolutely outstanding and on top of it!!!"

"'Non-existant' hostess= 1 star, chomping her gum, actually rolled her eyes when we asked for a menu. Alan made up for it! 4:00 on a Friday, lots of people on the deck, (& 1 dog ;) Excellent view of the lake!!! Gorgeous building, Great food, large servings, good prices! We loved the other shops in the complex....Great for a rainy day."

"The scenery is simply breathtaking! You have the privilege of soaking in the stunning vistas of the lake and the cityscape! While the food left a bit to be desired due to overcooking, the cheesecake stood out with its outstanding cheese. It's a pleasure to gather with friends here, basking in the lovely view."

"Ate there with my family of 5. Ate out on the deck. Fantastic views. Food was very tasty. Better than many other Mexican restaurants I've been to. Prices were quite a bit better than I expected. We didn't get anything extravagant and most had water. $65 before tip. Good service. Parking isn't easy. It's a part of the Fitger building (Google takes you to a different restaurant parking lot you can't use). We found side street parking. The boardwalk goes by it and has a stairway up to it. I never actually went inside. Price and taste and view were great. I will be back next time I get to Duluth."
