"came here for the first time since elementary school, food is just as amazing as I could remember. I especially liked the snow shrimp and the sesame balls. Staff are super kind, and atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable! loved it here, definitely coming back soon. almost $55 for 3 people, not too bad."

"Only gave one star because I have to. I will never step foot in this establishment again after tonight. We brought our family to your restaurant tonight for dinner on my birthday. My kids love your food and always eat so much. Tonight, we arrived at approximately 7:30 pm, 90 minutes before closing time. Their buffet table with entrees was almost completely empty. They did not bring any additional food out until I asked them at about 8:15, by which point I was too disgusted to even eat any more. The woman was extremely rude. The sales tax they charge is greater than that of the city of Duluth. We regularly bring our family there for dinner because there’s something for everyone, but going forward, we’ll be going elsewhere."

"All three experiences I've had have been mediocre at best. The first was outside of peak hours, and all of the food was dry. The meat was dry, noodles were dry, and there was barely any sauce. Today I went at lunch time on a weekend, and while the food was fresh and apparently steaming, it was lukewarm at best and cold at worst. It's too bad, because it tasted like pretty good Chinese food that had gone cold. I thought maybe it was a fluke, so I tested a tiny bit of every single piece of food on the entree counter, and everything was the same. Odd. Service and atmosphere are pretty good, better than other reviewers give credit, but unfortunately I don't think I feel comfortable going back and having a plate or two of room-temp food. It doesn't need to burn my mouth, but I was hoping for at least not being noticably cold. The steamed dumplings and soup were hot, but I can get that anywhere in Duluth."

"10/24/23 Good food and the service was mostly fine. 3 floor staff and they were strapped keeping up. I saw a comment that said the crab was imitation. It is at all these buffets unless you go, mostly on a Sunday, with some variations. Each buffet has it's own slightly different taste so it is fun to try something new as when we were visiting Duluth and stopped in here. Lunch buffet was 25.84 + 3.60 for a drink."

"China King Buffet is one of the best Chinese buffet restaurants in the Twin Ports when you take into consideration value and variety. They are always clean when we've been there and the food selection is nice. They are not pushy about hinting that you leave after a plate or too and the price is surprisingly affordable. Even though it's a buffet, the staff is very attentive and friendly. I'm very glad China King survived covid. It's a great buffet and I'm only editing my review to add some more photos. : )"
