Reviews of Rising Stars Preschool and Childcare
"I cannot say enough good things about rising stars preschool! They take amazing care of my son, and truly put the health and wellness of the children at the forefront. My son started over two years ago. As he is introverted, it took him quite awhile to adapt to the school setting (transitioned from staying home 24/7 during covid quarantine). Ms. Ronika and her staff were very patient and helped him each step along the way. Ms. Ronika is great at communicating with me about my son either via app or text message because they know how important it is. My son not only learns academically, has fun at school, but also develops social skills and makes good friends. I'm grateful to have someone like Ms. Ronika and her staff contributing to my son's growth and emotional well-being. Thank you again for making me feel comfortable being away from my son while at work and for caring for him beyond my expectations while I'm away."
"We love Rising Stars and Ms. Ronika and her Staff!! She’s been taking care of and teaching our almost 7 year old for about 4 years, and our almost 4 year old for about 2 years. She is great with the boys, and them being there has helped with their social skills, and prepared our older son for school, and doing the same with our younger. Whenever I hear of a friend or family member looking for daycare I always recommend them, and will continue to do so. They’re awesome!"
"Finding the right day is never easy. When I initially looked for a place for my son. I checked out countless daycare options… I even exhausted the list on Yelp and looked at neighboring cities. We narrowed down our list and finally picked Rising Stars. During our visit we took our toddler; he interacted with others and had a good time. I also like the amount of attention taken in the classroom, the toys, and the curriculum. I noticed they even set up a fire alarm in their home… it shows me the level of detail and concern they have for the kids. I especially love the pictures, videos, and other updates we get. I think the coolest thing is he has learned to ride on a swing. It's been a while since my son has been attending and he enjoys his time here. He’s made good friends and I love to hear him talk about his best friend. I am amazed with all the things he’s learned and it’s fun to see all he’s accomplished… especially the crafts he brings home. When I pick him up, at times he tells me he wants to stay longer. That’s speaks volumes to me. I am so grateful to have our son at Rising Stars. I give my highest recommendation to Rising Stars. Thank you for taking such good care of our little dude! Note: To the person that wrote a 1 star review, I find it hard to believe a child with an ear infection only shows symptoms at daycare and not at home. At the very least there is an elevated temperature. For me, I am constantly monitoring my kid, and if he's get even a slight temperature, I keep him home and if needed go visit the doctor. I don't think it's fair to assume the daycare caused an ear infection."
"*UPDATED RESPONSE: “Your child was unable to participate in our program on the days in question as he was sick” – This was never relayed to us. Not once was it mentioned that he was “sick”. You just said he had social anxiety “after 6 months of enrollment when one of your 2 kids a child cries all day, biting personal clothing and his arms, exhibiting signs of anxiety it calls for parent involvement” – we were only informed of this 2 days before we pulled him out. Nothing was mentioned about this the Friday before so we could assess the situation over the weekend. We got the news dropped on us on MONDAY. “and you found the medical reason why the child was crying all day” – there was no medical reason”. This place gave my child STRESS and ANXIETY—there was no “medical reason” whatsover. He was fine after we pulled him out for an entire week, and he was fine at the new school a week later. The reason I posted this review so late was to give the daycare a benefit of the doubt to make sure that it wasn’t actually their fault and possibly my child…but looks like I was right. “Ear infections are very painful and explains his behavior”. So you and your staff gave up on the child after 2 days of him being fussy with an ear infection. This just shows how “professional” this place is. Do you give up on other kids with ear infections? “Our services do not include behavioral therapy.” Then why did you assume he had social issues and anxiety and say your staff couldn’t handle him? Fact is—my child was stressed and anxious at the daycare and constantly biting and hugging his blankie, which is NOT normal. Once at home he would leave it lying around and disregard it. Again, parents beware. I don’t usually write 1-star review, nor do I take pleasure in writing them, but I would not recommend this place to anyone. I pulled both my kids out of this school the next day when the owner stated that one of my children may have anxiety and social issues because he was "misbehaving" and that her staff was not qualified to handle him (these are her exact words). He was being fussy for a grand total of TWO days. We took him to his pediatrician to get him checked out and had an evaluation with a child psychologist—both said that he was fine and healthy. Turns out all he had was an ear ache/infection. The anxiety was caused by the daycare. He’s now at a school with 15-20 kids and he’s completely fine. Parents beware."
"I love this place for my 2 year old son! Ms.Ronika is the best, she has definitely helped my sons vocabulary improve !! It feels very good to know that my son is in good hands while I’m at work. Would definitely recommend to all parents."
