Fullerton Head Start

Fullerton Head Start, located at 341 South Courtney Avenue in Fullerton, California, is a school that offers programs for pregnant women, children ages 0-3 and 3-5. All of our teachers are college-educated and credentialed to work in California. We provide a wide range of services for families, including education, health screening, nutrition, family support, and training.

Orange County Start Inc. (OCHS) was established in 1979 as a non-profit agency funded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services to provide Head Start and Early Head Start services throughout Orange County, CA. Each year, OCHS serves over 3,000 pregnant mothers, infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families, including those who are homeless, in foster care, have special needs, are on public assistance, or have other high-risk circumstances.

Our programs are free for families who qualify, as we are funded by the federal government. We provide over $15,000 worth of services per child and family. It's easy to start the application process online and we are grateful for the positive impact our programs have had on families in our community.

Many parents have expressed their gratitude for the support and opportunities provided by Fullerton Head Start. Families have seen their children thrive academically and socially, thanks to the caring teachers and staff. By participating in the program, parents have been able to volunteer, share information with other families, and take on leadership roles within the community.
