"Me (when I waa about 8 years old) and my little brother (who was about 2 years old) went there. My mom had to pull us out since she found marks on my brothers body. She called child agency on them. And they had to shut down their facility for investigation. Thankfully my mom found a better child care in Norwalk which was way more loving and exciting place. This was when they had their facility next to Morrison elementary."
"I have mixed feelings about this place. It seem a very nice, welcoming day care but there was something not okay. My kids (twins) seemed afraid of the teacher. Before attending they were 2.5 yrs old healthy toddlers, after a month attending; one had nightmares and became very clingy. The other one seem scared and not being himself. They stop going to this center. So not sure what’s going on there, but as a mom, I feel they used old style discipline. And they give candy, chips and other junk food as “reward.” I say this because my kids learned the word cake which they had once and they were one."
"After much deliberation I am sharing my experience with TLC Learning Center Norwalk. First, I want to thank Ms. Ariana, Ms Marilyn & Ms. Nikole for being truly welcoming, being loving and caring to my son through the 11 months he was there. U ladies are amazing women and I greatly appreciate all that u do. However, for the last 7 weeks (starting from May 9th) my son was at TLC he was targeted by the the staff members in classroom 2, the Explorers. As a parent, we know when something is wrong. Especially when ur child is no longer happy. As soon as my son was moved to this class things went bad. It was a difficult transition for my son, being that he struggled with potty training & now he was in a different room with new ppl, awkward for him. Change is hard & children know & can feel when they are not liked/ wanted. These staff members targeted my son & after I brought my concerns to the directors awareness, she did nothing. Instead of switching/ transferring my son out from this class like I previously requested (on more than one occasion) she terminated my contract. Mind u, this termination was sudden & without notice. I truly thought that by informing the director of my concerns she would be understanding/ accommodating but boy, was I wrong. Not only did I struggle to leave my son those last 7 weeks, but he was discriminated by these (so call adults) staff members. They claimed they were intimidated by me. Say what u want but exactly how can u make these allegations when u rarely interacted w/ me? Which was one of my concerns to begin with, my son was new to this class & when I dropped him off these staff members were not there. Moreover, when I picked him up after work, they were rarely there. If I recall correctly, I only saw them a couple of times & over heard them gossiping but they never once approached me. They never gave me any updates or informed me about my son wellbeing or interaction while he was there. Thus, the reason why I went to the director. So after struggling with potty training my son started holding his pee & poop, which is considered harmful & life-threatening if his bladder would have burst/ ruptured. I informed the director of this & also about the lack in communication with these individuals & that's when it all went from bad to worse. Everyday was a different complaint about my son but only after I had vocalize my concerns. These ppl began to outcast my son from class activities & were excluding him from certain events. For example, beach day. The kids got all dressed up & were allowed to played with beach items in the classroom. However, when it came to giving the kids ice-cream my son was excluded & was not given any. He was left watching everyone else enjoy their yummy treat while he was the only one left without. Now I am not an expert, but in these situations I am sure that any child's behavior would begin to change & that's exactly what happened. These individuals took things out on my son & that is not right! As a parent u expect that the people u entrust with ur childs wellbeing will care for them as their own. However, there is always some individuals that believe they can get away with things like this. My son's last day was June 23rd. Not only was I left without childcare, I now struggle with the thought of my son being outcast & mistreated because of this experience. Parents please watch out for any change in your child/children's behavior, these situations really leave an impact on them at such a young age. My son is scared to go to daycare/ school again. To the owner's, please evaluate ur staff to avoid this situation happening to someone else."
"This review is long overdue. My daughters started TLC since preschool until the pandemic and all elementary school years. My daughter was brought over from a previous daycare we had issues with.I never had a serious issue here.I’m so thankful for them for providing excellent care. Ms. Blanca and her staff are amazing. They are like family to me. I cannot recommend TLC enough my kids really liked it there."
"TLC was a great and wonderful experience for my son Alberto and I. My son came into TLC with speech problems, afraid of being around other children and not knowing how to write his name. After attending six months and with the help of his teacher Ms. Nora, the fear of being around other children went away. He became more knowledgeable in his numbers, colors, shapes and letters. Alberto begin to speak more and pronouncing more words. Every morning he was always happy to go to school and been around his teachers and friends. He experience the fun of school trips, summer with water slides, taking pictures and creating arts and crafts. These type of experience only happens to children, when they are in the right school with the right teachers. I want to thank Ms. Blanca, Ms. Lina and specially Ms. Nora for always being there for my son, for having the patience to teach him and take care of him. Thank you for your hard work and your dedication to the children. Believe when I say, TLC is the place you can trust, with your children. I never had issues, always trusted that my son was going to be well. IF I COULD OF BRING YOU ALL TO ARIZONA WITH ME I WOULD. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL YOU DID FOR MY SON."
