About the Business
Roots & Wings Center TK is a Transitional Kindergarten school located at the base of Temescal Canyon, just feet away from the ocean in the heart of Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, California. We are currently accepting applications for our 2024-2025 TK class.
Our independent preschool offers a multi-dimensional program rooted in nature-based philosophies, STEAM education, and hands-on experiential learning. Last year, we expanded to our new campus, Aldersgate House, allowing us to enroll more families and provide a magnificent new learning environment.
At Roots & Wings, we prepare four and five-year-olds for Kindergarten and beyond through a strong emphasis on social-emotional skills, problem-solving, and peer collaboration. Our curriculum includes arts, outdoor education, environmental activism, math, critical thinking, and language arts.
Our well-trained teachers specialize in early childhood education, creating a magical place for children to learn and grow. The program offers a variety of activities for every type of student, whether they are athletes, artists, builders, or nature enthusiasts.
Roots & Wings TK focuses on experiential learning, social-emotional development, and character building. Our founder, Margarita Pagliai, has strong relationships with top private elementary schools in Los Angeles and works with parents to find the best educational match for their child.
We offer a complete social-emotional curriculum, emphasizing resilience, kindness, and hope. Through play-based experiences in nature and science, students learn about the environment, gardening, and cooking. Our goal is to prepare children for academic success while fostering a love for learning and exploration.
