"Over the past few years, I've grown to LOVE Le Potager. What a delightful place, filled with beauty and all kinds of fascinating things for my home and as gifts - even for my most discriminating friends. Every visit is filled with surprises: lovely little oil paintings reminiscent of French countryside and charming villages, delightful soaps and scented products made with natural things such as lavender and olive oil that keeps your skin soft , delicious special food items to add subtle flavors to shared food treats on peaceful afternoons with friends, perhaps over a glass of wine or fragrant tea. Best of all is the gradual change coming over my home as more fine products are brought in, adding to the ambiance of comfort and warmth. It's 'tidbits' that make our home so much more comfortable: beautiful china that we use for our holidays (subtle brown and ecru serving bowls and platters that we use for serving our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners), graceful glass goblets that hint of evenings with old friends in a household filled with comfortable antiques, varied old silver serving pieces, and beautiful linens. Le Potager has supplied many possessions that provide the feel of years of living with treasured family things - ah, contentment. Even our home garden has improved, although more is needed to create the comfort we feel when wending our way through the Le Potager courtyard toward their lovely old doorway. John's suggestions provide inspiration, and Jennifer's kindness makes me always feel especially welcome.
