"I’ve had many people recommended this place to me so was really excited to try it. However, maybe I had great expectations that it would be fantastic, but unfortunately I didn’t think it was anything super special that I would recommend to other friends. It’s a cute restaurant and the food was good but not great. It’s located in the area but I think I would rather go to Hogs Island than this place. I know it’s different cuisine but if you’re a tourist or just visiting sf for a few days, I recommend trying Hogs instead if you have to pick one."
"When the sun is out and you can get a nice spot outside it's really a great place to have lunch. The tapas are all very good and diverse. Inside is nice too by the way."
"Spanish restaurant by the pier, visited in Spring last year. Food was pretty good, great use of the parilla in cooking the proteins. While many farm-to-table restaurants in the city hype over Zuckerman’s Asparagus by serving it simply raw, I really appreciate that Coqueta fully extend the potential of their asparagus dish by grilling it and serving it with a flavorful romesco! Branzino was tasty w the accompanying garnishes. Definitely a restaurant worth returning to when in San Francisco."
"Pleasant atmosphere with friendly service and an ocean view. The food and drinks were excellent. Love the balanced flavors of the pork and duck meatballs with cherry salsa—a delightful touch that added a refreshing contrast. The Gulf prawns were fried to perfection, offering a crispy texture and a satisfying garlic flavor."
"Classic tapas style restaurant with paella. We ordered the vegetarian paella because that’s recommended on the menu, but am not very impressed. Will probably try the meat ones next time. From the tapas, I really liked the mushroom. It’s very tender and rich of taste, all the tastes are soaked into the mushroom. Also interesting taste with egg yolk. Also liked the salmon tapas but it’s a little hard to divide and share. The restaurant is at the waterfront and very well furnished. Great spot for a gathering! We had to wait a while for our server from time to time, but overall was okay."
