"Colombo’s Liquors, Early-1960’s. At the time, Colombo’s was one South San Francisco's largest and most modern liquor stores. They distinguished themselves as having plenty of free parking and were open seven days a week. I’m not sure which sign I like better: the original pictured in the first photo or the one that is up today. Both are actually pretty cool. I love the shape of the original but I also like the font, style and colors in the current one. What say you? Looking at the building back then, I think it was a little longer(?). Looks like it was shortened and the apartment complex that’s there today was built next to it. Back then Columbo’s had a lot more glass built in, including on the Linden side. Today the glass on that side is gone and it's been replaced with a wall that has a large stone covering. Same in the front of the building as well. The glass also isn't as tall as it once was."

"A general good store. A little pricey as u can expect a corner store to be. Their biggest plus is both their parking lot and late hours. Few stores in about a mile plus area stays open later and not by much usually"

"parking is a disaster and there's a bump in the entrance that will mess up your muffler or bumper. The store owner never smiles and asks for i.d for things you don't need to be i.d'd for. For example, a lighter?"
