"BHC makes it clear that their Herman Miller chairs are used and refurbished. But for their other brand of chairs, their website states that ALL other chairs sold by them are new. Not true! Mine was heavily used. To make this lie worse, they told me, after I contacted them, that FedEx must've banged it up to make it look used. Really? FedEx put stains all over the seat, put dust/dirt in all of its nooks and crannies and on its casters, and scraped up every single leg with multiple scratches, all while delivering an undamaged, pristine box? I was also supposed to get upgraded, soft casters for hardwood floors (with a coupon code that BHC gave me). I didn't get those, but BHC said that the casters I received were the hardwood casters. Wrong! After sending them images of my casters, they finally admitted that they didn't have the hardwood casters. Okay, then don't make a bogus coupon code leading people to believe that they will get the thing they were supposed to get by using the code! They offered to exchange my chair for another "new" model, which I clearly declined, as they can't seem to tell the truth."

"I recently paid over $600 for a refurbished Herman Miller Aeron chair. While I saved hundreds, it has a loose ball joint at the base and rocks and "clicks" rather annoyingly as I position myself periodically. I e-mailed them about the issue and asked what their return policy was, and if they could work with me on the problem; they told me that this is perfectly normal for their chairs. They were kind enough to replace the scratched arm rests for me that I brought up, but months later I am still terribly annoyed by my $600 investment. While it's certainly a nice chair, I just find something like a loose ball joint, which we all know is a good reason to toss an old chair, unacceptable at this price point. They sort of brushed me off, too, which wasn't cool - but hey at least I have new arm rests. Update: I ended up reaching back out to this company regarding my experience, and they were kind enough to accept a return with a full refund. They even paid for shipping and handling which was super cool. Added a star for the helpful support from their team. Customer service is key and I think they’ve nailed it. I would reconsider them for future purchases based on my experience."

"on 12/2 a chair was ordered - I received a confirmation indicating "All of our orders are shipped 5-7 days after purchase". On 12/15 (13 days, 9 business days) I emailed customer support asking if there was a status update and was informed they contacted their warehouse and the order would be shipped that day. On 12/21 I received a chair that was not the chair that was ordered, and was not even fully functional. I contacted customer support, was told they would get back to me. That was two weeks ago. Shipping was delayed for unknown reasons until I contacted the company. A wrong and broken order was received. No resolution after 2 weeks after contacting the company. The only thing they didn't have any problem doing was charging my credit card. I would not recommend."
