"What a cluster, you know what. The ER was a joke. It's not that it was crowded. In fact, I wandered all over the place and never saw a soul including security. After being there with my mother for 7 hours, at 4am, they told us she be moved to a room shortly so she told us to go home. She called my dad at 7:30 am and said she was still in ER and nobody responded when she hit the call button. The following day we got there around 2pm. No doctor had seen her. It took the next 5 hours to finally get her discharged. John Muir use to be a great hospital. Other than being the trauma center for the County, use Sutter Delta if your in East County and even the John Muir in Concord (which I still call Mount Diablo Hospital) before you go to John Muir in WC. Avoid it! Check it's ratings."
"Dr John Haggerty is an amazing obgyn. He was my ob with my 3rd baby. He always listened and made me feel comfortable and like I was apart of the decision making. He delivered my son by c-section and gave great care to us both. Thank you. John muir is a great L&D hospital. I've only heard great things"
"Visited many times for routine work, emergencies, and surgery where I was admitted for almost a week. I have always felt respected and listened to and feel confident that they provide excellent care. I feel safe here."
"This is the worst place I have ever been to. The nurse practitioner Rochelle. Could care less about me my dad just died. I cut off a lot on my medicine. All she's trying to do is cut me off by 50%. She does not care about me. She could care less if I died she's going to put people into a depression and anxiety mode. People are going to die from her, she really needs to get talked to. She is not a safe Doctor. She said I have to watch out for what I prescribe of my license. It's like you're prescribing me my medicine that I need I have been doing so much better too, but nothing is good enough for her all she cares about is making you feel Horrible about yourself. I've been doing a lot better too but nothing is ever good enough for her I miss Jessica that used to be my nurse practitioner but she left now I wonder why she left probably because How they treat their patients. I highly recommend going elsewhere. I am going to see a psychologist to Get help. I am so lucky I found one because all she was doing was bashing me. Every time I saw her she made me feel horrible Myself be careful she can make you feel suicidal about yourself. I really hope the manager reaches out to me. She is really not a safe nurse Practitioner. It's funny because one of my friends Saw her also he had to cancel after two visits he could not Stand her, she did the same same thing she did to me Rochelle colchico live my life and try to get off a medication how fast your trying to get me off it. Got down 25% after my dad died and I almost died. I have anxiety and ptsd. Go through what I did and try and get off it how your trying to get me off it. You have no care in the world. You guys judge your patients. You don't care how we feel. Don't worry, I will get a hold of a main manager this time I am not giving up. You're not in my body you didn't go through what I did. Stop thinking about yourself and think about others . Don't worry, this will get out to the main managers and the Better Business Bureau Main doctors associate I got all the numbers and I want to make sure this does not happen to anyone else. So glad I see my psychologist that will actually care about me instead of caring about herself:"
"*3 SEPARATE EXPERIENCES*(staying here/c-section/NICU) Staying in the Antepartum(June 27-july 29) I had placenta previa, which meant that I stayed there for that period of time, until I reached 34 weeks and I would deliver my baby via c-section. The hospital is basically your home for that time. My time there, went as best as it could have gone. The nurses were all very sweet and kind(except 1) they visit you every time you need to get monitored or when they needed to make there assessment. Fairly easy things, check blood pressure, temperature. The food there isn't all bad. As a pregnant women, It wasn't too shabby. A nutritionist calls your room to ask what you would like for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Snacks are also available, upon request. The shower is small So prepare for that. If you know you'll be there for some time, bring things that will comfort you while you stay. I had my families pictures, and blankets from home. As there is not much to do, but watch TV, listen to music. You do get 30 min of outside time(recess..lol) they have a decent patio. I'd take walks out there, when the weather permitted. Nights are a little tough, they let you sleep but you will also get woken up twice(for different reasons). Overall my stay was good. The condition of the room was fine, I do think the shower could use an update. It was kinda hard to use. C-section EXPERIENCE BEFORE/AFTER- this was my first ever major surgery. I was terrified to say the least!!! The nurses and doctors made me feel as comfortable as they possibly could for that day. I was very vocal about how nervous I was, and they took that into consideration. Asked if I wanted a specific nurse by my side, I could pick out music to listen to during the procedure, who I wanted with me during the procedure(fam member). my baby was out quick! Afterwards they took care of me which took no more than 40 min.(AFTER) Then after resting for half the day, later I was able to meet my baby and do skin to skin. For me I was in pain, but it wasn't super awful! You will be walking and getting up, it's for the healing process! If you are in any major pain, and what they are giving you just isn't enough, SPEAK UP! They are there to keep you healthy and as comfortable as possible(considering what your gonna go through, ask for help if needed). Your stomach area will be pressed down, and yes this won't feel good. But it's just brief! Take a deep breath for it and brace yourself. I was discharged after 5 days in the post partum room(idk what they actually call it). Tips - if the nutritionist hasn't called you, ask the nurse if they can call for you to speak to them.(trust me,otherwise you'll get small portions) -the nurses can also place an order of food for you, if its early enough in the morning though.(in my experience, 1 of the nurses did this for me) -ask all the questions you want! Never feel like your doing too much. Your just advocating for yourself, and you should know all that will happen prior, during, and after the c-section. -children under 12 aren't allowed to visit. They can outside though. They have a small area where you can hang out. -Covid vaccine cards are requested if visiting or a recent test. NICU-the nurses are there to help and assist. But you get to do hands on with your baby. Changing diaper, taking the temperature and eventually feed your baby(breast/ bottle). When your baby is breathing on hes/her own, you'll be in a different room. Me and my husband did as much as the nurses let us help with. Every night at midnight, they get weight. Each baby is assigned a nurse, but that nurse might have between 3-4 babies to care for. Be kind and patient, after all they are caring for your child. Be as helpful to them as you can! In the end you are taking your baby home, so do the cares(what they call changing diapers, taking temperature)so you can get use to them. Depending on your babies needs, you'll have different doctors coming to visit and update on things. Like a Lactation consultant, speech therapist, the doctor ofcourse!"
