"I stopped by there today. Unfortunately, it was closed. However, I meant the owner and he was so friendly and helpful on giving information on this wonderful site as well as the history of this cultural landmark in Huntington Beach. If you are in the area stopped by and enjoy this one of a kind building; and see what Huntington Beach had to offer before it became an over developed cookie cutter architectural city. Fortunately there are still a few gems of old Huntington Beach still left. Yet, this place is one of a kind and well worth checking out inside and out. Thanks for your hospitality. I will be back when the store is opened."
"Great Antique Store in a very cool old original building. Great to see one of the great old buildings survive and I feel like the owners will continue this treasure.. I especially liked the horse tie-up ring on the front sidewalk ;).."
"This is a fun little shop Hidden away in on a back street in Downtown Huntington Beach. Located in one of the few remaining Historical buildings. In the downtown area. The owners are very friendly and super cool people and pretty knowledgeable about all the cool hidden Treasures located within located within the doors of this shop!"
"Oh, I like M E Helme. It is a fun store. The owners are fun to talk with, and the stuff they sell is so eclectic! I have been in a few times when I stay at a hotel in the same building. I was able to buy dishes (made by Sears a while back that look like Franscican ware), old books, a door stop from the estate of Penny Marshall and a bunch of cat related jewelry to use for future gift exchanges. There is so much more stuff, and there is frequently turnover, so when I come in again, I can expect to find new things. It is great. If you are in town, stop by here. I also hear it is a Huntington Beach establishment!"
"Walked in, no employees wearing masks, walked out. Political message on front window.. yes, Walmart, target, bigger companies are open.. because their employees wear masks. Very disappointed in the establishment, I was excited to go for the first time with my family - we will never go back now. Bad business."
