About the Franklin Hot Springs
Franklin Hot Springs, located at 3015 Creston Road in Paso Robles, California, is a unique spa and tourist attraction known for its incredibly healthy and mineral-rich water. The water at Franklin Hot Springs has one of the healthiest and most dense mineral breakdowns compared to waters tested from around the world. This makes it safe for kids and the elderly to swim in, with a water temperature that will not raise your body temperature.
In addition to the therapeutic benefits of the hot springs, visitors also have access to the lake for fishing and boating, with no fishing license required. The owners, including Eli Apodaca, Amanda Franklin-Apodaca, Tim Lacy, Jacob Franklin, and Daniel Hahn, have shared stories of how the hot springs have helped them with various health issues, from body pain to seizures.
The hot springs also have a rich history, with 6 generations of Franklins playing a role in founding and building Paso Robles. Visitors can learn about the history of the hot springs and hear about the miracles witnessed by the owners. Franklin Hot Springs is not just a destination for relaxation and wellness, but also a landmark for health and history in the central coast of California.

Reviews of Franklin Hot Springs
"Awesome Hot Springs around Paso Robles! I went on a Saturday afternoon while it was raining. The cool downfall of the rain mixed with the constant running of hot spring water was exquisite to say the least. Nice little picnic area surround 3 hot tubs and one large pool. It was only 10$ to get in. Apparently they have a camping area too if you plan on staying a couple days or more. I was very impressed with the ambiance of Franklin Hot Springs and it’s welcoming staff. I will definitely be back!"
"Norm and his kids run a cool spot. This is a cozy zone that isn't too overbuilt. I like the quasi-natural atmosphere with gravel pit pools and a water pump dumping hot water in the pools. If you're expecting a world class spa, this isn't it, but a quaint and fun spot to kick it for a few hours. Cool geology! They offer camping too!"
"This spot was awesome. Anyone that leaves a negative review of the spring has clearly only been to ultra developed chlorine “springs” at resorts and what not. Y’all should stick to cities lol. This is a real natural spring, and it’s soo nice. Water is a very comfortable hot temperature, the pool is extremely spacious, deep, fresh. The family that owns it is friendly and helpful! Really nice people and we talked to them for a while. The showers to rinse off with before/after is fresh water from the spring source, so super full of the minerals as well! Cool to be able to leave clean, yet still with the minerals working wonders on your hair and skin. $10 for the full day is great deal to. Better than any of the developed or natural springs we’ve been to in the area. Highly recommend!!"
"Before you pass judgement give this place a chance. At first when you pull in you see some older trailers, vehicles and yard art and 2 goats on the center pond island. There are about 5 spots for smaller trailers (ours is a 20ft pulled by a truck) and some camping sites for tent camping. 3 spots have electric, but not meant to run AC. We were in spot 1 which gave us privacy and shade; looking out to the pond, island and pasture beyond. Got a nice morning sunrise. The nights were peaceful and quiet.. Picnic table at site. No fires. There was a BBQ by the hot spring to use. Not super pristine, however the hot springs and pool were relaxing and had a large picnic area. A family run business passed down for generations. Friendly owners and staff. Gates lock at 9pm and we felt safe. Only reason I gave it a 4 star is the place could use at little sprucing up. For the price $35 a night, with use of the hot spring we found it a good value. We would stay again."
"We found this place by chance while on an RV holiday in California. Having not been to a hot spring before I wasn't prepared for the sulphur smell but the hot water pool provided some well needed respite. The family owned business means we had an amazingly friendly and down-to-earth experience but it might not be everyone's cup of tea."
