"We stumbled upon this remarkable dog park during our road trip. This park, which operates under the dedicated efforts of volunteers, is privately owned and requires a nominal fee for usage of $1/day or $30/year, and it is money well spent. The park is well-maintained, equipped with water stations and some shaded area. During our visit, we had the pleasure of meeting one of the enthusiastic volunteers. Overall it was a delightful experience."
"This is an excellent dog park! Huge, clean, water is provided as well as a chuckit and some balls. There are some areas with tall grass that our dogs like to walk through, and the space is otherwise covered in wood chips. It's a couple miles to the east of 101 in a residential area. We always stop here when we visit Paso or when we come through on a long trip."
"First time there June 17th 2022, took my 7 month old puppy to try to get her to socialize more with other dogs. She was very nervous her first trip there but I'm going to continue taking her in the future. Plenty of room to run around and for my nervous dog to maintain some distance from other dogs, at least for now until she gets more comfortable."
"Great dog park!! Stopped in on the way back to the Bay Area from Cambria. There is a large and small dog area. Usually, the small dog areas are very small, but at Sherwood Dog Park, the small dog area was pretty big! The large dog area was even bigger. Both areas had a few picnic tables and shaded areas to escape the sun. There was also access to water in both areas. Everyone at the dog park was friendly and my pup got to stretch his legs for a bit before we got back in the car for the long drive home."
"Great dog park! We were here for the weekend with a handful of pups and this park was absolutely perfect. So impressed by how well it is maintained and all dogs/dog owners were very friendly. Our lab loved the water tub to splash around in. If you are visiting, be sure to bring a few dollars to donate and help with upkeep! :)"
