"When my son attended this facility, he went to school with a full lunch packed and a full cup of water and would return home with a full cup of water at the end of the day as well. I was left to assume that he’d eaten all of the lunch that I packed for him but didn’t drink any of his water on a daily basis. When I asked his teacher if he was drinking water during the day she said yes. I asked his teacher how was he drinking water if he goes and comes home with the same full cup of water. Mind you, I knew it was the same water because I always put infused water in his cup so I could tell that it was the same water. However, his teachers response was that he drinks water from the cups of the other kids & that he does not eat any of his lunch, only the fruit……imagine that smh. I asked his teacher why does he come home with an empty lunch box if he doesn’t eat all of his food? She responds by telling me that she throws away whatever he doesn’t eat. This is only one horrible instance and a long story short. If you really love & care about your kids don’t let them attend this school."
"My experience as a parent with the teachers, directors and admin staff at Peppermint Junction has been wonderful! All have been very welcoming and professional. My daughter has been attending preschool for about a year and she absolutely loves all the teachers at the school. The teachers/school offer a very caring and respectful environment for children to learn and enjoy being a kid."
"This was my old school for kinder-2ed grade but they did take care of me but not much of what I needed.. I love this school a lot though. I have vision impairment and I got a lot of good things but not until pre k."
"I heard a lot of good things about this school and registered my baby girl for prep-k. Its a big school, nice teachers and staff, although there are some things I dislike are that they do not monitor your child to make sure they eat a full lunch or even half,.. My baby is there all day, from 7:15am to 4:30pm.. They provide snacks, but I'm not sure what exactly hours and if in fact they do get them. My baby girl comes home with all her lunch sometimes and starving when I pick her up, I understand kids will not eat to go play, but personally feel that thebteacher should at least monitor what they have eaten before letting them go play. Its my first time putting one of my kids into a daycare/pre-k maybe this is how it is, I'm not sure, but as a mother of 3 a child should have 3 decent meals and snacks in between."
"I don't even feel like you guys need any stars from me.... I heard a lot of good feedback about this place, I was excited about it ! so I took my son there... my son has ADHD and so it was hard for him to sit down , as I told them it would be hard to have him lay down without making noise. They dropped him but said it was because the days he wasn't going they were not getting paid for ?.. well of course ? If he was sick I wasn't going to take him .. he had constant ear infections then got caught a fever why would I take him to daycare just for them to call me ? Everytime I worked I got called literally an hour after I clocked in or a couple hours before I was leaving to come get him cause he wasn't listening when it was quiet time .. what part of ADHD do you not understand... Having him go to the school and cry cause he doesn't want to be there and I seen why was because kids picked at him or got annoyed when he came in the class when they were trying to sleep is unnecessary, and the teachers didn't say not one thing to one of the kids that said " oh not that boy? I want to go to sleep and he always loud" I don't know any child with ADHD that is quiet , he is actually calm compared to other families I know with children that has ADHD. So they dropped him cause he wasn't listening and they were most likely getting annoyed but used money as a excuse. I thought I would like them but after that and it's very hard cause they called me all the time about his behavior and made me get off work .. my hours got cut BAD, but it's not their lives they are just "doing their job" if you were doing your job you would understand what a single parent had to go threw just to get him enrolled in daycare late... Everybody has their different experiences with certain daycares/ schools... but that was very uncalled for and if you work in a school/ daycare you should be more generous with families dealing with a child that has a disability, instead of giving them the boot within 4 weeks. This is a true review i wouldn't have to go out my way to lie about a situation involving my son. Like I said before everyone has their own experiences with this place.."
