"On numerous occasions over the years I've sought out therapy towards the goal of healing from the mess that comes with childhood trauma. Finding a therapist who's genuinely helpful has been really difficult, and at times it's been tremendously discouraging. More often than not—and for various reasons—I simply haven't had a good enough, trustful connection with my therapist(s), which I think may actually be THE most important factor, as far as actually healing and growing is concerned. After several failed attempts at therapy with other therapists in this town, I finally found Rudy Ruderman, and after a few months of regular appointments, I'm encouraged that the work I'm doing with him is actually helping. For me, it's slow, painful work that may very well take years, but I'm finding that EMDR therapy with Rudy may very well be shifting things and helping me heal in real ways that I hope to god actually last. Insofar as my mess of a life has impacted my marriage in some very difficult ways, too, my wife and I have sought out couples therapy with mixed results over the past few years. Once I started working with Rudy a few months ago, I asked him for some referrals for couples therapy, and he suggested Greg Young, who's also a therapist with the Center for Psychotherapy and Integrative Health. After four sessions with Greg, we're both feeling better and finding light in the dark tunnel of our difficult relationship. I wasn't originally so optimistic that things would go this well this quickly (and, indeed, we're still facing some hard realities in front of us, no doubt), but we both like Greg and feel comfortable doing this difficult work with him. I'm grateful that I've found not just one but TWO solid therapists in Rudy and Greg. Clearly the Center is doing something right if they've got two therapists who are able to help me (ME?!?). We all have different needs, shortcomings, difficulties, and goals for healing and growing, but I would recommend anyone seeking out help with mental health issues give Rudy or Greg a call for starters."
"My husband and I worked with Rudy, inspired by having a vacation planned and wanting to create a better dynamic together. In a very short time, he was able to help us create more intimacy and feel safer being vulnerable with each other. After twenty-seven years of knowing each other, we were able to dive in deeper together and find new ways of interacting, approaching conversations that would previously have created distance. We feel lucky to have found Rudy."
"My husband and I worked with Rudy Ruderman, and it was such a supportive, positive experience. I had never done couples therapy before, and he navigated our dynamics with so much grace, sensitivity and skill. We found the sessions extraordinarily helpful in a very short time, and the work we did with Rudy still guides our communication. I highly recommend him."
"My husband and I found this great team of professional via a Google search so didn’t know what to expect. What we found was an amazing group of therapists who literally helped us get past near divorce. We initially participated in couples crisis therapy and then transitioned to weekly marriage counseling. We’re not completely through the woods just yet but after two attempts with other therapists at different Centers prior to finding Center for Psychotherapy, we had almost given up. If not for Rudy we probably would have. Grateful we found them on Google!"
"I am beyond grateful for the time, care & support I received from my therapist Desire at the Center for Psychotherapy. Kindness feels like a simple word but it's through her kindness that I was able to heal and grow. I was also able to speak with Rudy about a possible couple's session. He was open and willing to help us both. While my insurance became the reason we couldn't continue, I am so glad we found them and had such a successful treatment. The atmosphere at their center is welcoming, clean and full of hope."
