The Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF) is a nonprofit institution located at 131 13th Street, Greenfield, California, United States. MAOF takes a multi-generational approach to uplift families by providing social services for individuals of all ages. Services are offered across four pillars: early child education services, senior services, community development services, and community partnership services.

Established in 1963 in Los Angeles, MAOF has grown to become one of the largest nonprofits in California with an annual operating budget of over $100 million. The institution serves over 125,000 individuals annually in seven counties including Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, San Diego, Ventura, Kern, and Monterey. While initially focused on the Mexican-American community, MAOF now proudly serves people from all racial and ethnic backgrounds.

The institution offers various programs such as adult care, child care, home care, senior care, children’s residential and continuing care. MAOF also provides education, training, and experience for early child care professionals and offers stimulating and nurturing child care and early education programs for families with children.

MAOF is currently hiring and invites individuals to join their team to make a difference in the lives of thousands of families throughout California. The institution also offers resources such as a quality rating and improvement system (QRIS) to help parents choose the best early childhood education for their children.

Additionally, MAOF operates the Skill Center in Bakersfield, providing vocational training in Business Service Occupations at no cost to Kern County residents. Founded by Latino civil rights leader Dionicio Morales, MAOF continues to support children, parents, and seniors in fulfilling their mission.
