"my child just turned 18 month few days ago and moved to the pre toddler room and for the first days I had about 6 accident report 3 of them that he is bitten by another kids on his fourhead , I asked the manger to move him from this class two times since I almost receive a curtesy call every other day she answered she doesn't have room in the center currently and they will try to elemnate that in the future , i am really disappointed."
"Love this center and everyone who works here"
"I absolutely love this daycare. I feel like they take such good care of my kids and are constantly teaching them new things. My daughter likes it so much that she asks to "go to school" on the weekends. My son really struggled at first and the staff went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable. I am honestly surprised to see bad reviews. It has been nothing but a pleasant experience."
"Care was decent but it was really rough initially when my daughter started because one of the teachers just didn’t mesh with her personality. After that teacher left, we no longer had issues. The teacher in question was a new parent of a single child so a lot of her standards for toddlers were a little bit ridiculous and sanctimonious. Think “my kid would NEVER act that way”. She was only 3 at the time and had some issues listening to that teacher, so we had a lot of calls and a lot of meetings with administrators to work through the issues as a team. Even the lead trainer in one of the meetings seemed very confused about why we were even having a meeting because the behaviors she was constantly being disciplined for were very typical for children her age. It was mostly just not listening well and making butt jokes. In one meeting I had to contain my laughter because my daughter had called the teacher a poopy butt (not maliciously, just teasing) and the teacher was acting as if my daughter had threatened her entire family. While the issues with her behavior went away after the teacher changed classrooms, I’m giving a low rating now because it’s been over a year since my kid attended the school and they’ve done some damage to her psyche. While in the classroom, the teachers would often talk about how mom and dad were “watching” her on the cameras, which was weird because you don’t have the ability to do that as a parent unless you’re actually at the center. The teachers would tell them things like “I’m gonna watch the cameras to catch you lying” and things like that. At one point, they told her the fire alarm was watching her while she slept to make sure she would stay in her cot. This coupled with the fact that she had her first fire drill while at this school, she is completely TERRIFIED of smoke detectors now. Her bed is at the top bunk beneath a smoke detector and she can’t sleep unless she is hidden under her blanket, where the “fire drill” can’t see her. It’s been almost two years now since we’ve begun working through this with her and she is still terrified of them. She’s recently regressed a bit in the fear too because the smoke alarms went off after a meal got a little smokey. So now I’m scheduling an appointment with a therapist in hopes that I can help her work through whatever PTSD she has from the fire drill. I hope this review helps them train their staff to not use manipulation tactics to incite fear in small impressionable minds."
"Go to the CDC on la mesa for the same price and better care. It is run by the Navy and they have regulations to protect kids while this one is Army run and your child is at risk. If I could give 0 stars I would. Very unsanitary for infants. As a registered Nurse - I was blown away at the fact infant rooms do not require booties to enter the room- so a ton of bacteria is tracked in. they mop 2 times a day and those babies crawl all around and of course put their hands in their mouth. everyday I pick my baby up with brown knees on her clothing due to the nasty floor. So many pants and leggings ruined from the filth. I know I have Hep C, blood, and every nasty bug you can think of on my shoes from being a registered nurse and working all day. my baby stayed sick. We took a vacation and 1 week in she was better and cough free the entire time (a month). we werent even home a week and she had gotten sick again with a constent cough and runny nose. I paid full price (close to $700 a month) for my child to attend this day care. It was one issue after the next. I breast feed so the first issue was they don't allow you to bring in the bags used for breast milk. The formula has to already be in a bottle. So we changed it around and I started putting milk in the bottles frozen and sending that in. Then they complained it took over an hour to thaw in the bottle with hot water So we changed it up again and allowed formula at the day care which we didn't even want to have our daughter on. Then they complained we used cloth diapers and said it was a health hazard. 1) it's great for the environment and 2) it saves a ton of money. They want us to pay for disposable. I could sense when we put her in the daycare and and we told them we cloth diaper it was a nuisance. I feel like they prefer disposable because then they can just put any number of diaper changes and we have no way to know. We were told 6-12 month waiting list when I signed up. I found an at home provider who was approved through the base and started the process. When the daycare learned we were in the highest paying Tier (magically at that moment they had an opening). She was always soaking wet from sweat because they don't have ac and the room is like 120 degrees. They lay the babies on a large mat and walk all over them and allow parents to walk on them without booties covering shoes. I find this a huge health risk. I think walking on the mats is disgusting and shouldn't be allowed by anyone. They need to keep booties outside the door similar to those cheap ones used in hospital operating rooms for anyone entering the room to put on. Too many small babies crawling over the floor and mats to not. So my baby's cloth diaper is a health hazard but extreme heat and babies playing on dirty floors aren't????? It's insane. I wouldn't recommend this daycare to anyone with a small baby. I don't know how toddler rooms are but the baby room isn't good at all. My baby always stinks and has to have a bath as soon as I get her home after only 3 hours there. Her hair is usually matted with spit up and her clothes stink of milk and sweat while her face is covered with dry boogies and snot. several times I also started to find weird cuts on her. One above her belly button, one tucked in her baby fat on the right side of her neck, one above her eye, and 1 on her forearm. Using the CDC that requores booties and has some safe regulations for infant rooms is a much wiser choice"
