Reviews of D'Auria's Treehouse Children's Learning Center
"My baby has been here since 8 months old I love how much they care for and love my little baby I appreciate all the help through this time of me trying to build my career."
"Wonderful staff. Clean, bright, and well organized facility. Age appropriate toys and smiles from staff everywhere. very clean bathroom for the kids. A large beautifully drawn tree in the children's circle time area. Director Lori was very accommodating and kind and made my slow-to-warm 3 year old daughter feel safe enough to play and explore. I feel confident having my little here. Lori was awesome at helping me feel comfortable with my little one being away from me. Thanks D'Auria's Treehouse! I'm excited for my daughter to build more memories and friendships here!"
"First off, the only positive review here is from the director herself. Things started out ok at this daycare, however several things rubbed me and my husband wrong from the get-go, and I wish I had pulled my kids out earlier. The first week my kids were super thirsty when we picked them up, and I had to explicitly ask the providers to make sure they had plenty of access to water. They also arrived home sunburnt that week. Later on there were several times they called my daughter by the wrong name, misspelled her name, and sent her home with her hair a mess (I'm not asking for a fancy hairstyle, but maybe just put the hair tie back in?) I overlooked these things because I was grateful for the provider having accommodated us on short notice. My son got accepted to public school and the daycare had stated they would waive my son's 2-week notice, and had offered to reimburse the money. This was nice of them, and I figured it was partly because he hadn't even been in the week prior at all due to illness. I said to hang on to the money to put on our next bill. Once he was gone, they upped the rates for my daughter WITHOUT NOTICE (they are supposed to give 30 days), which I accepted because they had given us a discount for having 2 kids enrolled and because of our situation. Shortly after however, I gave 2 weeks notice to pull my daughter because of (1) the perceived lack of care, and (2) the increased cost. Here's the kicker - they took 2 weeks of tuition out of the money they owed me, without ANY communication or discussion (retroactively charging my son's 2-week notice fee). I feel hugely taken advantage of. I wouldn't have argued about paying the fee initially (although they did have 4 days notice), but they explicitly waived it and at no point stated that it was tied to my daughter's enrollment. Just because they had my money in hand they felt entitled to go back on their word. Things have gotten confrontational with the director, which is a situation that I hate, and I'm sure she has her complaints about us - we had some issues with my kids having runny noses (but negative covid tests), but I always came to pick them up or keep them home after their policy was made clear to me. I'm sure plenty of folks have had good experiences with this center, but it has been awful for us."
