Reviews of Golden Poppy Preschool & Infant Center (formerly A Brighter Future Preschool)
"I wanted to write this review for Golden poppy. We feel incredibly fortunate to have secured a spot for my daughter in GP daycare, especially considering how competitive and challenging it can be to find a suitable daycare for infants. Our journey to find the right start for my little one was filled with extensive research and deliberation. I am thrilled and proud to say that having her at GP has been an absolute delight. I still remember the reassuring words and warm welcome I received on her first day, which immediately put my mind at ease. The photos that the team regularly shares with us have been a source of joy and comfort. They beautifully showcase the excellent care and attention to detail that is provided. I can't speak highly enough of the dedicated staff members, including Leilani, Katy, and Mandana. They have been incredibly sweet and have never hesitated to respond to my frequent messages. From the beginning, team has been nothing short of fantastic, and I hope this continues to flourish. By and large , this place is a safe and nurturing environment to grow and learn."
"Our son has been going to Golden Poppy Sorrento Valley since he was a little over 3 months old. He started out in the little bears infant room and has now, at 14 months, been attending the little ducklings class for 1 year olds. The staff and teachers do an outstanding job of taking care of our son. Additionally, they have done a fantastic job at educating him. I love seeing all the activities and social interactions he gets daily. Every day when he comes home I feel like he's got something new to show me whether it's a new baby sign or a new word. He's learned so much there and I can really see his confidence and independence growing along with him. Thank you to Miss Char, Miss Katrina, and Miss Courtney and well everyone there, cause they all make it happen, for the support, the helpful advice, and ofcourse for taking care of our little guy."
"We have loved our experience at Golden Poppy. Our daughter started here at 4 months old, and it has been nothing but a POSITIVE, SUPPORTIVE, HAPPY experience! It's scary sending your infant to daycare for the first time, but we found all the teachers to be so caring and loving. We've never had a single concern and feel that our daughter is getting the best possible experience in their care. The teachers love the kids SO MUCH and I truly feel they would do anything for them. The staff reports to us how things go every single day, send photos, and let us know about what activities they do with the kids. We have found them to be transparent if any issues come up, and to always try hard to find quick resolutions to any issues that arise. (Any issues that have come up have been extremely minor stuff. No concerns at all.) The outdoor space has recently been upgraded with higher and more secure fencing, as well, so that we feel that our child is safe in the playground areas. The kids get lots of outdoor time every day, and the school puts together wonderful activities and events every month. We really do feel lucky to have found Golden Poppy and plan to keep our daughter here for as long as we can."
"Our two granddaughters attended A Brighter Future from the age of 3 months until kindergarten. They were very well prepared for kindergarten and loved going to school throughout their years at ABF. I would go to pick them up on a regular basis and was always very impressed with the entire staff. The children are happy and very well cared for and there is a lot of wonderful learning going on throughout each day. The children are polite and they are taught to be kind to one another and play nicely together. The friendships that my granddaughters' made have been wonderful and strong. Our oldest granddaughter is in first grade and she still gets together with her nursery school friends on a regular basis even though they all went off to different schools. Our younger granddaughter talks daily about wanting her time at ABF to go on forever. Some of the closest friends of our daughter and son-in-law are the parents from ABF! We will miss going there come September."
"It is okay when compare to the Kinder Care , in Del Mar. My son was 3 yrs old when he joined. he is there for almost 6 months and I am planning to look for other school. Pro's: 1. student / teacher ratio is 6/1 , so you get some personal time. 2. Clean Kids play area. ( you have 3/4 covered with cement floors for playing. 3. daily they serve some kind of friut to the kids during snack time 4. story telling is nice cons: They give time out for the kids (which is old school technique). One time they gave time out for my son for having the his food in his mouth for long time. and ever since he doesnt eat the lunch properly at school. 1. they dont pay extra care to make sure the kids eat properly. 2. Foods are prepared by the cater near by 3. Once in a week the kids like the food they make. 4. They dont allow to bring kids toys and keep it in their cubby 5. Short period of teachers turnaround. I dont know the reason but they all go very fast. bottom line if you dont have any options around they you can leave the kids for sometimes. My son had 2 teachers left within 4 months, Frequent changes in the teacher is not good kids to learn at this age."
