UCSF Children's Emergency Department, located at 747 52nd Street in Oakland, California, is a specialized institution dedicated to providing world-class care for children from infancy to young adulthood. With a team of expert doctors and nurses trained in pediatric emergency medicine available 24/7, our facility offers stress-free visits and accommodations for families during their time of need.

As a level 1 trauma center and the only state-designated Pediatric Critical Care Center in the area, we provide top-notch care for a wide range of conditions, from common illnesses to rare emergencies. Our Oakland location also features a five-bed asthma care unit for specialized treatment and education.

In addition to medical care, we offer a variety of family-friendly amenities and support services, including child life specialists, social workers, and art and music therapy programs to help children and families cope with illness and hospitalization. Our schoolroom services and individual learning programs ensure that children can continue their education while hospitalized.
