"Although this review may seem lost or even unimportant in between the heaps of the other 5 star reviews, my story/ experience is something straight out of a nightmare. For starters, on April 24, 2023, I had come into the Balance Med Spa in order to receive a typical chemical peeling. At first I thought nothing of it since I've never had an experience with this certain procedure. As the procedure went on, I was told to sign the consent form after the acid of unknown PH levels had been placed on my face. I still let this slide by as I thought nothing about it. After the procedure was completed, I was sold 300$ worth of creams for the face, which I ultimately purchased. A few days after the initial chemical peeling I found my skin to barely peel off. In other words, the peel was redundant as it was unable to peel off anything. However, after this procedure, my face had been brutally adorned with a nasty chemical like burn, which still remains to this day. This chemical scar has rendered me unable to look in the mirror, take pictures or even go outside with family and friends. After realizing that this scar had been “tattooed” onto my skin, I had entered utter panic. Immediately I had contacted the Balance Med Spa which would ultimately lead them to “gas-light” (act of misleading someone to believe something) me into believing that this was all part of the process. Additionally, the creams I had received ultimately lead to my face becoming more and more irritated by the days. As a woman,one knows the extensive care we ladies commit to keep our faces clean and professional. However, by doing this simple treatment, my world had been flipped upside down. Additionally, since the chemical peel pack comes with two sessions, I was told to come back and do the second chemical peel, which I ended up doing, At this point in time, the staff and this facility had started to emit a negative atmosphere which ultimately gave me a feeling of being unwelcomed. Without going on a tangent, the 2nd chemical (May 24) peel had been placed upon my face. After the chemical peel, I yet again went home, waited for the results of the peel, and yet again, minimal results were concluded. The peel had failed to remove the nasty burn like scar from my face. The absolute irony that emitted from this facility is unlike no other. I had placed my faith in the staff to remove my original sun spots from my face, however, instead they had placed even more burn spots on my face. At this point and time, I was certain the staff had committed an error that they did not want to admit. Claudia, a staff member, had began to avoid my visits, ghost me on messages and do everything in her power to avoid me, Eventually, she did message back after an exchange of messages (days later), After this incident, I was told to return in order to evaluate my skin and or the process, yet again, Claudia had began to look for any little excuse to blame her wrong doing on myself, for example, she would boldly claim that I wasn't using the previous creams correctly and or my solar sun screen was too weak, which at this point her arguments were basically laughable and irrelevant. With Claudia’s unprofessional attitude, she had the audacity to falsely diagnose me with skin conditions in order to yet again put the blame on me. Claudia had asserted that my skin had melasma, which is totally blasphemous and unprofessional. Additionally, Claudia would go as far to claim that she ‘didn't ruin my face, and instead that I came in looking like that.’ Logically, I had proceeded to use pictures before the peeling in order to prove her wrong, which in turn would ultimately result in her saying that those pictures were invalid and or don't show my true face.’ she would instead provide two pictures of me after the peeling had been done, which logically included the horrible burn mark on my face. Additionally, the only piece of advice Claudia was willing to offer was to wear make up, which is redundant, this sole comment had made me realize that she had no concern for her clients."

"I purchased a special package, and I was unable to make it to my initial appointment so I asked to reschedule. They said yes and asked for what days/times were best for me, and then never got back to me. I followed up 2 weeks later to ask what date it can be rescheduled for, and they still have not gotten back to me. Disappointing that run promotions and then don’t follow through. Guess I’ll need to dispute the charge."

"I am so happy I found Balance Med Spa. Claudia is professional, knowledgable and takes her time to answer any questions I have during each appointment. The facility is clean and welcoming and I she is always on time. I feel lucky to have found this little gem and I will definitely be going back for other services."
