"Mark holds down the fort keeping his store open for everyone coming through the desert. He’s supportive of all the bicycle tourers coming through and full of good local knowledge. We stop by every time we are in the area or camping at Agua Caliente, or out in the state park!"

"Ever ride your bike a few hundred miles around SoCal and get a mad craving for a pint of ice cream and a coke? Yeah? Then you probably have found yourself at the Agua Caliente General Store. Keep your expectations in check, this is a teeny shop in a vast desert, but the hungry traveler can find both nourishment and rest here. 10/10 will drag my sorry self here again on the next Stagecoach 400."

"Great little shop. Considering I'd rather pay an extra dollar or 2 for things than drive for a hour to Borrego Springs, I'm fine with the prices. Owner is nice. It's closed Tuesday/Wednesday. I've camped at Vallecito, so this is 4 miles down the road."

"Small little store at the entrance to the camp grounds. It has several of the basics (beans, buns, beer, wine, water, ice, candy bar, and ice cream). But it is expensive. And not sure how long it's been sitting there. It does have a cool souvenir section with rocks etc."
