"Just stunning when the roses are in bloom! We popped over on May 22nd and they were perfect!"
"Oh. So. Gorgeous. No frills, just natural beauty. The roses are truly incredible. It’s unbelievable that some of these rose bushes date back to the 1800s. The park itself is simple but the beautiful smells of roses and the extraordinary mountain views make this a must-see in SB!"
"Visited in end June and roses were in full bloom. There were many varieties on display. Great spot to get pictures with the mission in the background. The lawns next to the garden had people relaxing, picnicking and playing. Great place to relax."
"Soooo pretty. Had a picnic. Rose garden is amazing. Smelled so good. Flute player the whole time we hung out. We ordered Mexican food for delivery. So pretty and there was parking. Parking was off street"
"The Mission Rose Garden is well worth visiting if you are in the Santa Barbara area. It is located just East of the Santa Barbara Mission and is an easy walk just across the street. It contains over 1500 rose bushes that bloom from April thru December, with the peak bloom in early June. The garden is surrounded by a gently sloping field of grass that is an ideal spot to eat a picnic lunch, but be warned there are no tables. A short walk away are the remains of the original Mission Aqueduct and a nice wooded area with a wonderful old dead tree perfect for young children to climb. Make sure and visit the Mission and the Santa Barbara Botanic garden located a few miles up the canyon."
