Homewood Suites by Hilton San Diego Downtown/Bayside

"I enjoyed most of my stay at this hotel. My only complaints were all the pillows were flat and felt like the material inside were just clumps. Even the pillows that were supposed to be firm were not, and as soon as I laid my head down, it sank. The gym was meh, has some dumbbells up to 50lbs and one bench, along with a couple pieces of cardio equipment. Great location with plenty of things within walking distance."

"Stayed here for the 2023 ESRI UC Conference which I won't be doing again. We arrived at 4pm and our room was still not ready. I had to be at the convention center at 5pm, which we finally got a room at 5pm. That was disappointing. They said the credit card used online wasn't finished and needed to be verified, even though I had my confirmation email. I said I don't have the card, it's through my work. They forced me to put the $1200 on my card which I didn't want to do because we were trying to buy a house. The staff didn't have the slightest care in the world. The room itself was decent, but the USB ports in the night stands didn't work, the corners of the trim molding were rough, the carpet wasn't as clean as I would expect for the cost per night. Parking is only valet for $50 a day, which is ridiculous. The car staff were ON IT and quick and super nice. The bar staff were super nice, the complimentary breakfast every morning was actually good and a lot of options. The little courtyard area was cute and nice, but for the price per night, not worth it. Glad I didn't physically have to pay for this and take my family here on our own dime."

"Stayed here for 4 days. + Rooms were clean. + Service was good. + Valet Parking is quick and easy. + Provides breakfast + Play area is good. + Location is nice. + Staffs were asking for feedbacks. - Kitchen utensils are less. Might need to call the service team for additional items. - Valet parking is $50 per night."

"No self parking, only valet parking at $50 a night, but you can go in and out as many times as you like. Not a lot of cookware. We had a skillet, maybe two pots. Bed was uncomfortable. Ours was leaning to one side. Should have reported, but we forgot to as we were rushing out. We could also hear running water from the room above, which was pretty loud when they took a shower. Hopefully, the other rooms didn't experience that issue."

"One of the worst check-ins I’ve every experienced. I was given so many excuses why my room wasn’t room I can’t even remember them. I arrived super early so I knew early check-in at 9 am wouldn’t be highly possible. But I was able to pay my incidental fee because my room was already paid in full. So I let the host know we were there & to let us know as soon as a room was available. We went to eat breakfast & checked back in with host around noon. Still no rooms so we left the hotel & ran some errands. We returned back to the hotel at 3:30 pm. Now there is an issue with cleaning & still no rooms available. We didn’t get into a room until almost 5 pm which is insane because my room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. I was offered nothing for my inconvenience. Staff didn’t seem to care that we were just sitting in the lobby after a long flight & ready to relax in a room we paid $350 plus a night for. But the location was perfect. Close to everything I wanted to visit. Not to mention close to my son who lived only 10 minutes away. But never again will I waste my money at this location."
