"Great Farmer Market, but since the name is not specific to Morro Bay and conflicts with the Saturday Morro Bay Farmers Market entry this entry is hard to find. I submitted at least a few edits and I hope that they will correct this. It is without a doubt of the best FM's in the county, but is often confused and conflated with Spencers Market, since it is in their parking lot on Thursday afternoons. It can be also confused with the large Thursday night FM in downtown SLO, or even the Saturday one in Morro Bay [which is more craft oriented]. In any case, quite a few locals do know about this fine Farmers Market, but since the entry is confusing, there are few pictures and reviews on this one. This FM typically has 2-3 dozen vendors of all sorts of produce, food, coffee, bread, pastries, vegges, fruits, Greek snacks, Mexican snacks, Med. snacks, and much more. The Farmers come from both local Morro Bay & Los Osos, but do come from Cambria down to Arroyo Grande and beyond. There are also some that hail from Central Valley, and other areas. There are few crafts and if people are looking for that, then they should try the Saturday one in Morro Bay more near the ocean on the other side of the 1. One good thing about this location, is that since it is right next to a smaller supermarket one can grab some steaks, milk, or other stuff to compliment the FM offerings. To find it, please get off Hwy #1 on the east side of Morro Bay. Parking is easy, and the vendors are their usual friendly selves. Many of the them also appear at many of the other areas FM's, but there are some that are more North County oriented. If one misses this Thursday one, there is a Friday FM in Cambria which is excellent as well. The other FM's include Paso, Atascadero, Templeton, SLO x 3-4, AG x 2 , Baywood, and some seasonal ones. Further south, one can find FM/ farmstands in Santa Maria, Orcutt, Vandenberg Village- Route 1 [Sundays], and even Solvang. One can find a FM every day of the week between SLO & SB counties."
"We go every week for Lola's fabulous caramel kettle corn. It's a must have. Some times we find other exciting things ."
"Every year we come to spend the summer in Morro Bay. We go to all the wonderful farmers markets and Morro Bay, Cambria, all up and down the Coast nearby. Nearly every day there is a wonderful market with the most amazing local produce at really good prices for the quality. Really love the market by Spencer's because we can get Harris Ranch meat at Spencer's and all the rest of our produce needs at the market every Thursday. On Friday we go to Cambria and get some of the wonderful BBQ by the Lynn restaurant family. We pick up our produce for the rest of the week then. We try to make every local farmer's market in the area all up and down the coast every week. The local Growers and vendors provide the best quality in the entire state. Haven't had strawberries this week since we left Louisiana over 40 years ago!"
"Wife and I were here last May, and it was simply delightful. Farmers all setup, some producers who had various food products, honey, etc... One of our favorites was a soup maker, don't recall names, but this woman had home made soups to die for! The one we had was a cream of cashew (my wife is Lactose intolerant) and it was really great! We tooled around for about an hour, sampled here and there, bought some fruit to keep us stocked for the weekend, wound up making up our dinner meal as we wandered and bought various things. What a fun way to make a meal!"
