"Near impossible to find all traffic entrance. Especially using ANY map app. It takes me a different direction every time, and never to the correct location. Super frustrating. So we learned to use an address of a business that we found at the beginning of the line and maps takes us there. The last few times once we were finally able to find the line it was actually much quicker than the ready lanes."
"Tell me why the ready lane doesn’t move and the regular lane is flowing like water!! Isn’t the ready lane supposed to be faster? This is ridiculous it almost seems like it’s done in purpose!! Literally we’ve moved 100 ft in 2 hours and the regular lane is moving non stop!"
"Waited over 7 hours to cross at Otay today. The border patrol app lists 2 hours, not at all accurate and could be improved in so many ways. At least provide toilets if you’re going to mostly close the border into US. I got out and walked across and caught a ride, leaving my husband there another 3 hours."
"This is definitely less busy than going to through the San Ysidoro crossing. This is a wild chase to find the regular line. It’s definitely worth it to have Global entry to avoid these shenanigans. You can wait sometimes 2-3 hours or even longer. The lines for the regular entry are moving slow. There is confusion where you catch the line that leads to entry point. You need to catch Blvd. Alberto Limon Padilla. Stay on the right lane. The right lane might be very long and turns on the final lane that leads to the border and that’s Blvd. Garita de Otay. There is a sign and a tire shop at the corner. But typically there is a long line that wraps around to Alberto Limon Padilla. There are many street vendors, there is one restaurant to the right, and many places to use that you can pay to use the bathroom. It’s really crazy, no need to describe it."
"So old school. This place has the same vibe its had since the 00's: feels old, murky, dirty and way too small. Lines for permits (i-94) are extremely slow, could take up to two hours. The only good thing here are the CBP officers that check everyone's documents, they are very quick and efficient. 2/5."
