Hampton Inn & Suites Salinas

"Stayed for 2 nights back in December. Late post because I was waiting for a reply back from guest assistance with my issues. I didn’t bother to complain to the front desk cause from the beginning of checking in they had no care of any concern. When I got to the room I inspected the room before my family touches anything. Everything was good except the bathroom…HAIR! A big ball of hair that wasn’t mine (brunette color). I looked down on the floor more hair. So I asked the front desk if I can get a broom to clean it, she just gave me a towel to sweep it up? Next, I turn on the Tv, no network was connected to stream Netflix. I asked the front desk, she came in with another employee to fix it? Then says I’ll get maintenance to get to it tomorrow…no one ever came to fix it. Stuff happens and I’m really patient with all these issues. Now the icing on the cake was the pool, the pool had a heavy smell and my kids and husband went to go swimming. Husband comes back with his eyes burning, then my kids clothes slowly turned from black to orange? Poorly maintained pool. All these issues went to guest assistance, they gave me a case and nothing happened. No call back or anything. Before going into your room, make sure you inspect everything before touching things."

"Please read this review before you book!! Stayed here one night during our Dec roadtrip and booked a King room. If you pay for something, you expect some level of service - not here. Firstly, if you are taking bookings- you need to ensure it is a functional room. The AC controller was broken in the room, AC did not work, room was stuffy and did not have a fan. We requested for a room change, apparently, not a single room in the hotel was empty. I accepted it and after alot of to and fro, requested for a fan - fortunately their kitchen had 1 portable fan which we kept in our room. When I asked why wasnt the room checked or fixed before giving it to a customer, the front desk said that it must have happened today. However, trust me by the looks of it, it was broken for a while - it was evident. Well, there was no one to fix it so we used the fan that night. I would recommend booking a Marriott or other competitors in the complex. You may not have this experience but sharing mine since it was awful."

"We came from Sacramento and had a some things to do in San Francisco. So we headed towards LA not before the early afternoon. Perfect for an overnight stay. Nice staff, quiet rooms."

"We just stayed one night, but it was a very enjoyable night. The rooms were clean when we arrived and it had a very modern look. The rooms were spacious, and the TV was able to stream Netflix. If you're looking for a cozy room to spend the night with your family, I definitely recommend it."

"I had an amazing time at this hotel especially that the rooms were remodeled. I was not recognized as a diamond member so I didn’t get my snack which has not happened at other hotels. The location is pretty great and right outside is Starbucks just in case you don’t want the hotel breakfast."
