"Lady who answered the phone was super mean. I just called to wonder about a Fix-It ticket since I've never gotten one. Hopefully just that one lady. But lots of people don't like Campbell PD"
"I've had two interactions with Campbell PD, Both showed how disrespectful they are to our community. The first instance was getting pulled over in an Uber leaving downtown Campbell at 2a. The Uber driver was pulled over for "speeding", which he wasn't. The tyrant demanded I.D. of all the passengers. This was clearly a fishing attempt for drunk drivers. Of course the tyrants where nowhere to be found while people where fighting in the streets of Campbell avenue minutes before. The second experience was watching a tyrant show up to a call and block 3 vehicles parked, when the tyrant could've parked in the numerous open spots. Total disrespect to the community of Campbell. Disgusting!"
"The Campbell Police Department is a leader in the South Bay when it comes to mobile application deployment and community engagement. The technology provided by mobilepd has informative links to the Nextdoor community, directories and other useful sites. Most of all, I commend the responsiveness and professionalism by the officers. It is a great way to engage the community and work together. Keep it up!"
"I've interacted with lots of great police departments. Campbell's is NOT one of them. I run a booth at the Oktoberfest and Boogie in the Bayou. For some reason a huge number of police officers are on patrol after the event to enforce an arcane, draconian packup and load-in system that wastes a LOT of taxpayer money and is completely unnecessary. One year, the police made me wait for two hours until a space opened in the right side of the street to park and load, even though my side of the street was completely empty. I carried all of my stuff to the other side of the street, risking being hit by other vendors' cars as I crossed. At least in my experience, this department is inept, poorly organized, extremely rude, and wasting y'all a lot of overtime pay. I'm guessing this police dept doesn't have much competent oversight."
"I've experienced all negative from this police force. They illegally towed my truck from private property. Illegally searched my truck. When pointed that out to them. They stated that they have got to do inventory n every single vechicle they tow. Well that doent consist of removing the rims and tire off the vechicle. This was for expire tags and driving on a supended lic. Regardless what the nature of the pull over. If your in your drive way. OR private property they cant tow your vechicle. All police jurisdiction for towing is to keep the Streets clear of cars from police arrest. THat is the only reason. So They towed my truck out of my mother in laws driveway Was to be mean spirited.. Or some kind of punishment because They didnt find any thing in the vechicle. Illegally searching . It became of a punishment tow . also the campbell police dont care for my boyfriend and his brothers. Because of thier noisey bored neighbor. Real stupid. So i had a 30 day illegal towed impound. When i expressed i wanted to press charges on the office or speak to internal affairs. I was informed several times that they dont have I.A. dept. Every police dept has to have a iA dept. I spoke to the capt. When he realized i knew the law on towing. Thanks to google. He released my vechicle in 3 three days . which i had to pay $800.00 to get it out. Why when it was wrongfully towed. By the way their inventory consist of debris in the front and in the back also debris. My truck was loaded down with my bedroom stuff since i just moved out of my parents house that day. So where my so call inventory list. Or was it an illegal search. My questions to you is . Whos policing the Campbell police. Why did i have to pay 800.00 for my truck that was illegally towed. A officer can tow from private property is when. A vechicle is blocking an exit or an entrance. That is the only reason. Evenif you get a dui and they pull you over amd you pull on private property. Or a parking lot . they cant tow your vechicle. The police cam only tow you car if your on the streets when u get pulled over. Know the law."
