"How good can a meal be if the end of the night was spent throwing it up with in an hour of being there. Could be the quality or a sensitive stomach. Courses of meat w/o much to soften the blow ie. Sides of rice. Kimchi is store bought. For a 700$ meal. Also kimchi and wagu? Why? What is the purpose and how does it pair? Kimchi is Korean and this is a Japanese restaurant. You are then asked to dip wagu in lemon juice and I wonder why if the quality is that good and you want to taste the meat. I’ve had much more authentic experiences for far less money. The service was attentive but was not up to par for the price of the meal and would have appreciated more professional staff. It felt like a casual dining experience. The atmosphere is clean but not memorable. Incredibly over priced for what you’re getting. Don’t be impressed by the grill changes, Even Koren bbqs change the grill so for a meal at this cost it’s the least they can do and the meat pairing are no different. I feel offended by the 700 cost of this meal that left me and my partner sick."

"Came here for hubbys 30th bday and it did not disappoint. The ambience, staff (Chris you're awesome), and food was incredible. We did the shodai set tasting menu which came with about 14 small dishes and left very satisfied. The staff cooks for you so you don't have to lift a finger. The explain every dish and bite, feels like you're at a wine tasting but for meat and that of the highest quality. It's expensive but you get what you pay for-- a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion!"
