Ralphs 425 South Sunrise Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262

"Possibly the worst attitude and customer service experience in a grocery store in my life. As a 76 year old man I sometimes need fast access to the bathroom. Today was such a day. The bathroom in Ralph’s is in the back corner and has a combination lock. I asked at the Pharmacy next to the bathroom but they refused to give me the combination and sent me all the way to the front of the store to ask. Eventually the produce guy took pity on me and gave me the combination, just in time. After attending to my needs I stopped again at the Pharmacy to ask why they wouldn’t give me the combination. Having just come from church I was dressed in my Sunday best and didn’t look at all like a habitue of the street. The Pharmacist said “we don’t like to be interrupted”. This is the best definition of poor service and a bad attitude I think I’ve ever seen. Too bad it negatively colors the rest of my experience in this store."

"Typical larger chain grocery store with competitive prices. For the most part, the fresh fruit and vegetables looked fresh and had an appealing look. Nicely displayed and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Fresh meats and sea food were appealing to the eye. Ample amount of real checkers at the register and self check is available."

"Not a single register open with a human! Everything is self-serve with a single guy helping 8 registers that are full. Ridiculous that Ralphs is forcing all customers to scan and bag their own groceries. Why don't you give us a discount for doing all your work???"

"I previously had rated this Ralph's a 5 star review. It was based on the customer service and helpful and efficient crews. I NOW RATE THEM A 2 STAR as they have gone the way of no more cashier's or baggers. At least they had had one checkout open but no more. I will be shopping at a different market as this visit today showed me they value profit over customer care. And the prices were about 10% higher today than my last visit a week ago. GOODBYE RALPHS!"

"This store is not customer friendly. First incident: I was looking at sliced meats, cooler door was open, employee asked me to move. I didn't know why. He began to stock the cooler, leaving me standing there. No customer service. Second Incident: Employee at deli counter came around the front and stepped right in front of me as if I was invisible. Blocked my view, didn't say a word. No customer appreciation again. Third Incident: As I was leaving the store, I took my own grocery bags out of the cart and started to place the cart in the proper place and an employee who had retrieved several carts, pushed her way right past me and completely ignored that I was even there. No courtesy and no appreciation. Plus this store is not ADA compliant because the isles prevent 2 carts to pass each other."
