"This place is just plain filthy. Completely run down, dilapidated. I was told about 5 times checking in not to smoke in the room (we don't smoke) which is a joke because the room absolutely stunk. I have stayed at many other Super 8 hotels and I have never had this issue. This one is bad. The bed didn't even have a fitted sheet on top of the mattress, just a top sheet covering it. It was honestly laughable how bad it was. We attempted to leave after the first night and get a refund for the second night due to our complaints but management denied our request, so here I am writing this review. If they would have just given me my money and let us leave I may have dropped it. If you stay here you'll be disappointed. Just pay the extra few bucks and stay at one of the casinos nearby, trust me."

"We woke up to ants by the TV and all over the edges of the room. The bathroom had marches of ants in doorway and all over the floor. There's a big Crack in the bathtub and it's not clean. I've taken pictures of all the ants in bathroom and of unclean bathroom. Nastiness"

"My favorite hotel to stay in , especially in arcata. Clean , quiet , pleasant staff who go above and beyond (Miss Ellen and Miss Carolina are truly fabulous and courteous women ) . My family appreciates the Super 8 staff and owners. God bless you all."

"For a budget motel and the price, the room is quiet, clean and the front desk was very friendly. The amenities are rather old but that’s to be expected for a budget motel. The parking lot looked sketchy at night and someone was acting rather odd in their car when we arrived but nothing happened during our stay. Overall it exceeded my expectations"

"First room we were brought to literally had a shattered window with glass everywhere. Second room had no shattered glass but It needed major updates. Mostly, it needed to be deep cleaned. There was stuff in the fridge from God knows when, the carpet looked and felt like it had never been cleaned, and it's a REALLY old carpet. We also were right next to the McDonald's drive thru, so we could hear all the action. It was difficult to rest."
