"Most of the China tour is basically a forced shopping tour. It is cheap to sign on because you will be pressured to buy a lot of cheap rocks, overpriced mattresses and tea. The tour I did is 85% shopping and 15% rushed tour. I called 故乡office in the US during the tour in China to complain about the disproportion amount of shopping “required". I was basically told that it was my fault since I booked the tour. There is also a required $100-150 fees per day if you decide to drop out of the tour because you cannot stand how much forced shopping there is. This technique is called "bait and switch" and this travel agency should have their license revoked."
