Reviews
"The river is up from the rain. My dog loves where Salem Creek flows into the river. A favorite hangout during the summer when the water level is about a 3 feet lower."
"Nice pavilion, park for smaller children, and a nice size dog park. Some wide open spaces available for activities the require space. Also nice sections of the Greenway in either direction."
"I was there for a church picnic. I brought my dogs, because there is an area where you can let them run around without leashes safely. I would have loved for there to be more trees for the dogs and a doggie slide or pool and a fresh water source for them to drink from instead of an old ugly bucket that you had to provide water for your pet and any other dog that pushes up to get some fresh water. There were no trash bags to pick up waste. Once the picnic started in full swing we left the dog park area and went over to the pavilion and again, there were not enough shade trees for us or our dogs. The picnic only lasted an hour and a half, because there was really no shade to play outside any of the games that were brought. The kids were too hot to play by the swings and slide and that thing they climb all over. They would go out of the pavilion for only a few moments before they were back getting pieces of ice and bottles of ice water The only joyful part of this event was that we were together fellowshipping and... a deer buck came out of the woods and stood near us for over 20 minutes. It was amazing, I have never seen a deer come that close to humans and stick around. We all thought it was a good sign from God."
"Very nice area, I have never seen a trailhead with so much. Bathrooms, Pavillion, dog park, playground, and a large green area. Lots of parking."
"A great addition to the neighborhood. It never seems to be overly packed and it's always very clean... They've also got a great area to have picnics and it accommodates quite a bit of people. They have restrooms and one working water fountain, an air compressor for airing your tires, and a dog park. Great trails to walk on just be careful, especially your curious kiddos around the water and rocks there are a ton of copperheads sunbathing I know kids love playing on them but avoid the ones near the water. TRUST ME. We saw three today."
