Reviews
"I allowed my daughter to gather with friends to go have a swim at the lake. When she returned to her car someone had broken into it and another car next to her car. Fortunately, she had nothing inside, but the simple fact that when they asked for help no one came out to help nor the police to do a police report. She waited for more than 3hrs for a police officer to show up, but no one came out. She had to leave because she needed to go to work. Her cousin waited until the area closed and still no one came out. It saddens me to think that people can do this because they know cops don’t come out to check on these incidents."
"Great woods for walking, especially in the spring/summer when the foliage is flourishing. Benches along the walking trail for those that want to relax and watch the sunset. Not as many grass areas for blankets as some of the other parks in the area but they are still there if you look for them."
"I was a little skeptical after reading some reviews and google showing that it was as busy as it can get. THIS PLACE WAS ABOVE MY EXPECTATIONS. The parking was 3/4 full. However, there were many tables open to sit at, a ton of beach space to sit at, and everything was clean. Everyone was friendly. The playground is small but nice and clean for the kids. The beach is AMAZING! Beautiful, clean sand to sit and play in. The water is warm and clean. No trash. I would recommend anybody to try this place out. $5 parking for a full day of fun is well worth it. They have BBQ pits if you would like to BBQ, no alcohol, and no pets are allowed."
"Nice and chill place to come on a weekday, u’ll be lucky if u can find parking or even get to enter the park on a weekend. Nashville won’t let u down this little beach is an oasis, families love this place it’s a $5 fee for when u enter and the park is open till 6:30 gates close at 7pm. Water is clean and the beach is well maintained and patrolled frequently. We have been here a few times our kids love the beach and sand make sure to pack a bug spray and sun block."
"It's a beautiful place especially if you're used to the flat lands of Florida. It has it's own beach with a small playground for children. Bathrooms for men and women at the beach and also a shower for when you get out if the sand and water. There are little grills to cook out on set up around the beach with picnic tables as well. I've even seen people bring their own grills as well as hammocks to hang in the trees. Note I said little beach but there are other little areas to find the edge of the lake I'm sure you could jump into, I just prefer the beach area. There's also a place to drop your boats or jet skis into the water and a couple small trails. You do have to pay 5 dollars to come into this area and I suggest you come early to fully enjoy everything. The beaches close at 630 along with the parking area there. There is an area to park outside the "fitness trail" and it's supposed to close at a 7 pm but when we left the other night it was not closed. We didn't however take the risk of getting towed or trapped in and just parked on the road right outside it. The trails are quiet and full of nature, definitely a great area to watch a sunrise and sunset or to have a picnic or some romantic alone time with someone because it is absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to actually get on the water though and go fishing or boating! It's definitely a nice experience to enjoy if you haven't done so already. Note this park is very handicap accessible. Handicap parking, picnic area, and even a handicap ramp going into the water with hand rails! How nice:)"
