"Extremely clean and organized shop. All the staff is extremely friendly, judgement free zone. Belle was my artist and she did a fantastic job. Made sure I was comfortable, happy with my piece, and overall made me feel like I was at home. If you are in San Diego, I highly recommend Emaki. All their artists are extremely talented and I promise you’ll be happy with your experience."
"Everyone here is seriously truly talented, and Nhan is most definitely the go-to artist for traditional Japanese tattoos!! I’ve gone to him for my tattoos even before Emaki opened, and I’m glad Chris picked this location because there are lots of food/snacks options around. Each session for my piece is kind of long, due to my work schedules, and I can’t come by as often as I’d love to, so having multiple places to go for coffees, snacks, and food definitely helps!"
"Emaki Art Collective is an amazing studio with a pool of incredibly talented artists. I have been seeing Belle at Emaki for almost a year now for my blackwork tattoos and she is the only artist I trust for black work and dark style tattoos in San Diego. Her professionalism, devotion to detail, and unique art style make her my go to artist for all the black work I'm getting done. If you want blackwork, you gotta come to Emaki. Ask for Belle, you can't go wrong."
"Emaki has to be one of my favorite shops I have been to. You can tell Cris carefully chose his team to create a fun, and welcoming atmosphere. The shop is clean, modern (I’m obsessed with the sink in the bathroom), and all of the artists are super nice. I’ve been tattooed by Levi Hilton for over a decade and it’s so awesome to see him so happy and thriving. His passion is contagious and his work has helped me gain a confidence I never had before. Absolutely a shop worth checking out, with a variety of styles for everyone!"
"This shop is amazing from always being welcomed when entering the shop, to the knowledgeable artists who do exceptional work to the thoughtful and careful after care prep they do to help you make sure your tattoo lasts as long as possible. This is a tattoo shop I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a spectacular tattoo in a fantastic environment. The shop is extremely clean and has an upscale but approachable vibe. Levi Hilton does amazing work that has consistently exceeded my high expectations!"
