Reviews of Ai Grill
"Glad we finally had a quality bbq place opened nearby! The grilled oysters were fresh and juicy. We enjoyed the lamb skewers, sausages and bean curd wrapped veggies the most and they were chargrilled! It was also a fun experience cooking the skewers at your table and watching the grill automatically rotating your skewers. Will definitely come back!"
"Came on a Thursday night and it was not busy at all! Server was very friendly and gave us free drinks and two skewers on the house since it was a slow day. We ordered a set for 2 people for $88 which is pretty good value and had a nice variety of skewers. It was just the right amount of food without feeling stuffed. Very tasty! Would definitely come back"
"First of all, 5/5 for the skewers. Very tasty, and the meats melt in your mouth. Highly recommend the New Zealand lamb, the pork jowl and Japanese Scallop. The Wagyu Beef ramen however NOT worth it. It's just watered broth with 4 small pieces of Wagyu and a few greens. Definitely not worth getting. The server was very friendly, however there were a few things that happened. For an appetizer we ordered a takoyaki. The server suggested we get a $20 app with abalone sauce and veggies, but we said no that we want the takoyaki. She said alright, then gave us what she suggested. We thought it was on the house, but when it came time to pay we never got our takoyaki and she charged us for the appetizer that she suggested. We also ordered other things that we never got, at least they didn't charge for it. She also said she'd give us 10% off, again never received that. Also a heads up they can only charge one card, no split payments. All in all, worth going again for the skewers and the appetizers . . . If you get what you ordered."
"It's a trendy restaurant with good food. First off, because it's re-opening, service can be slow. They're attentive but seem understaffed so wait times for everything is longer. The space is also small, so I imagine wait times can get long once they get popular. It's nicely decorated and there's plenty of room for a group of 4 at a table. The grill automatically turns the skewers. It's a charcoal grill too and gets hot but isn't uncomfortable at the table. It also doesn't get too smokey in the restaurant which is appreciated. You will leave smelling of smoke and meat though! The meat skewers are delicious. There's a good variety of meats. The beef has a strong beef flavor. The lamb is spicy and well seasoned. The pork jowls and chicken gizzards are chewy. Definitely got seconds of the meat. Each skewer can take 6-8 minutes to cook. The vegetables are also good, but didn't get as grilled as I'd like. The corn takes awhile but definitely got grilled. The shishito peppers come a bit grilled and are also great. The pineapple and mushrooms didn't really get grilled, but were a nice addition to the meal. I'd grill the vegetables to your preferred taste. You can also get cooked items from the kitchen and their wagyu fried rice was solid. Don't expect a lot of wagyu for the price. The drinks selection is a good variety and you can get a whole dispenser and bottles for the table. Overall, everything was yummy and the meat skewers were the best part. I'd go back and want to bring more friends with me."
"It's nice place to have something different, like the grill tool is automatically rolling itself , looks so fun! I love their seafood collection with high quality meat, but the price is bit higher. It's good to taste but not good for a full-dinner option."
