"CHECK your receipts if using those coupons they advertise. Sent son to get groceries went way over the minimum purchase needed and still sold to him full priced. Second time they’ve done this to them. Sent him right back for the difference. They know most (like mine) don’t and why not…more for them. It’s not the money, it’s the principle, the cashiers know the sale items. Why do this to people."

"The freshly made tortillas are awesome, make burritos at home, and you're sure to impress. The rest of the store is also nice, of you're in the area swing by and see yourself."

"I purchased party chicken wings here, and they were a disaster. You get the wings in the open freezer section, and they are frozen in a huge bag. I took them home and unfoze them. A good 3 pounds were broken. I'm talking about the bones snapped off and broken. Then we had wings that were purple and disgusting. Once I saw them I called the store. I told them what happened, and they said I could exchange them. I took them in and they returned my money. The meat smelled horrible. I ended up going elsewhere and haven't been back here."

"Let me tell you: pre-COVID, we were coming to the SD area twice a year; now it's once. And never in that time did I know about Carnival Supermarket, National City. IDK how I stumbled upon it this time but....we've been ROBBED all these years! Fresh and HOT tortillas (flour are only burrito-sized). Excellent butcher counter. Avocados: 5/$1 on the weekend!!! Multiple fresh juices, the horchata was AMAZING! Hot-serve section: we bought carnitas and beans/rice for our AirBNB stay, accompanied by fresh guacamole and pico de gallo. Carne asada burrito was extremely generous; look at what she's doing! Stand in line too long and you're sweeping up desserts. I'm telling you...this place is BOMB. Store was very clean and tidy, staff was just lovely, even when they couldn't understand Husband's broken Spanish. If we lived here... (We were headed north and stopped at the Carnival on Ashford. This location was different and did NOT have many of the foods we were hoping for. Still, it was very appealing.)"

"The most economical way to do grocery. I love the fast food with very good authentic Mexican tortillas, burritos and rice meals on 3rd Avenue, Chula Vista. Get your natural dried hibiscus red petals for best urinary care drink. Just soak in water and place in fridge. Start drinking the liquid next day. Just keep adding water for refill. No sugar needed. Its bland and tangy enough for off taste water drink. They also have little bottle shots of potent concentrated lemon and ginger with honey for immune system. I like also the natural juices in bottles from squeezed fruits and vegetables."
