"I've had a cover up and some tattoos added to a previous tattoo. Today I got a tattoo to commemorate a kidney transplant I received. All of it done by Justin. Amazing artist, light on the hands, can free hand writing if you want it done. Prices vary on what you want but so reasonable. Entire studio has a great vibe, plays awesome music. Jam at the front is one cool guy!!! Will be coming back"

"Bestie and I decided to get tattoos when I visted her for her birthday weekend. I wanted to go big and opted for starting up a sleeve!We reached out to her tattoo shop to book about a month in advance. As I'm from Texas I sent the tattoo shop a few ideas of what I wanted but gave the artist (who I'd never met) full creative freedom. She was a great artist. 6 hours was definitely not expected but was a cool experience and not painful. Bestie got a hand tattoo. Parking is a little hard to find. You'll have to park in the surrounding streets."

"So glad I chose Black Diamond for my first tattoo! Truly a perfect all-around experience. All the staff members I talked to (either on the phone, via email or in person) were very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, plus they were really fast to respond to emails and found me a perfect appointment date/time, which was important to me because my job schedule can be hard to work around. The artist I chose, Ken (AKA Shingken), and his apprentice Lloyd, were both super awesome to work with, and made the whole process feel so much easier than I thought it might be. Working out the design with Ken was a really fun process, and he was really attentive to what I wanted, making sure we didn't start until I was 100% sure of the design itself, as well as its sizing and placement. He finished it WAY faster than I expected (took just over an hour), and charged me a very reasonable amount. As for the final product, well... all I can say is WOW. Seriously, it looks TEN TIMES better than I'd ever imagined!!! I love it so much that I'm already planning to schedule a second tattoo with Ken very soon! Thank you Ken (and everyone at Black Diamond) for being so amazing at what you do!!!"

"I will always come back to this shop for future tattoos!! I worked with Jesse Byrd and was amazed when he found the original reference of what I was looking for (I brought him in a picture of another tattoo!) and adapted it to bring out all of the highlights and shading of the actual bird, and brought its eye out clearly which wasn’t done in the reference I brought. It made the eye pop and stand out- the tattoo that Jesse did for me is way better than the reference I brought in!! I am beyond pleased with my experience. He does excellent work, is very kind and gentle, and the shop as a whole is super clean. He made me feel comfortable and even though it was a tough spot to tattoo, it looks very clean and detailed- his technique is spot on. 10/10!! I would recommend this shop to anyone. There are many talented artists here (all of their work is very impressive) and the quality of all their tattoos are fantastic. Bree is super nice and friendly and responds quickly to emails/inquiries. I’m going back to see Jesse in a couple weeks and can’t wait to see this next piece!
