Northgate Market

"Northgate Gonzalez market has been around a long time. It was established in 1980 by Don Miguel Gonzalez Reynoso's family. It now has 41 stores in Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, and Riverside counties.This market has Latin American, and Mexican goods .They have fresh meats and seafood, fruits and vegetables, bakery and hot foods, auga frescas ,Tortilleria, Panaderia ,fresh flowers and so much more. The managers and employees are courteous and friendly and very helpful. The customer service is really great. I’ve been to this market many times and I felt it was time to do a review. We enjoy visiting this market and plaza. They have an outdoor courtyard, dining area and a nice fountain to enjoy your view. There’s plenty of parking ,the handicap stalls are close to the front entrance."

"Great food bar with delicious choices. I love their ceviche bar, tamales, chili sauces ready to eat at home. They have an excellent bakery. They make their own tortillas and bouillon. They offer so many great grocery items."

"Went there Thurs. Nov 2, 2023, to pick up some things for breakfast to take to family. I bought carnitas(very good) freshly packed avocado(onions, cilantro, tomatoes) very good, some other items. I also needed tortillas. I bought some freshly made corn tortillas (very good). Just across were the packaged flour tortillas, there was a very nice elderly lady restocking, she asked what I needed (In Spanish) unfortunately I speak very little, but was able to understand and say a few broken words. I asked which were the best tortillas (flour) she pointed to the Sonora flour. They had the Sonora and North gate brand, she said the Sonora were better than the Northgate. Unfortunately I don't care for the Sonora tortillas, so I went with the Northgate. Well, the woman was right, the Northgate tortillas no Bueno, sorry Northgate. But the carnival were delicious! I warmed the tortillas on the comale like I always do, and the edges were hard..."

A very clean and well-organized market with plenty of Mexican snacks The Korean market seems to be the most expensive... The Chinese market and the Mexican market seem to be cheap and good quality."
