"WARNING- THIS IS NOT A REAL BOTANICAL GARDEN. I was so excited to visit this spot on my California road trip. One of my fav things to do is visit botanical gardens, so I knew the ones in California had to be mind blowing & gorgeous. When we pulled up there was nothing but some portapotties, a huge puddle and a tree with grass. This spot is a PARK AT BEST. And that’s okay, parks are cool. But let’s not over promise/oversell something. As a visitor from another state my family and I were PISSED. I think we stayed a total of 3 minutes. I can see why locals would love this spot, but if you are from out of town be warned !!!! And if you visit in fall like I did there really is nothing but trees (which I love, but there ARE TONS OF SPOTS in Cali to admire trees) this spot is not a must see & was not worth stopping at in my opinion. It did have very cute squirrels though."
"Beautiful place to look at flowers. There are many in bloom right now. Great place to meet for lunch or a picnic. There is also a trail that leads to a larger garden. Love it here!"
"Update 3/25: Park is open again during regular hours. Most of the fallen trees have been removed. There was one big one still down. The tulips were in full bloom as of the end of march. It was a great view for a maternity photoshoot. Flowers all around are starting to bloom. Update 1/29: The main gate was closed before sunset but I saw several people walking around. To get in, I parked a street over on Nicklaus Pl and walked about a block. The walk there doesn't really have a sidewalk and it's right next to traffic - be careful! The park had about 3 or more fallen trees as of yesterday. The garden area is currently closed off while they work on removing one of them. The main pathway is "open" but it looks like it had caution tape that someone ripped. Confusing, but there were no signs saying to stay out. I was there for a photoshoot and we got the shots we needed. Wish the garden area was open, but we managed. Look forward to the gates re-opening and accessing the beautiful park safely. Such a magical place at sunset!! The whole park is truly a gem. Can't wait to come back. - Previous review: Beautiful place for photoshoots or small weddings. Attended a wedding here years ago and recently I went to scout for a photoshoot which was postponed due to rain. Both times, the place was gorgeous. Wish it wasn't pouring on photoshoot day or I would have more photos to share :)"
"A well maintained patch of land with great walking paths. Perfect for creative photography, bird watching and all-around enjoying the outdoors. I walked the grounds quickly this morning just to get a feel for what the place was like and will definitely be back. I would guess that you have to arrive early to take in the true beauty of this area as parking seemed very limited and it probably gets very busy. I was there around 9:30am on a Sunday and there were not many people there yet."
"Nice place to walk around with lots of trees, plants, and flowers. A few picnic benches near the entry area. Lots of benches scattered around everywhere. Everything is very well maintained. Didn’t see a bathroom, but there’s a porta potty in the parking lot. Had a great time walking the dog here."
