"Our kids had a great time. A fun place to spend 30-45 min in balboa park for elementary or preschool age children."
"It's a good price for some entertainment. The building has been around forever, and hasn't been remodeled in just as long. If you are like me and enjoy old places you'll enjoy the theater. If you are in Balboa Park hanging around you should check it out."
"They have a old McDonald’s grimace costume that was on a commercial in the late 1900’s. Good show. Tickets cost $5 for ~45min show."
"We been coming here over 20 plus years, autistic adult son loves it here, and they as always treat him very well and understand .."
"Great experience for the value of admission. Strollers are not allowed inside but there is an area outside to leave them. I went with some kids under 2, if your kid likes to sit then it's enjoyable. If not, there were still a couple of kids walking around and clapping etc that did NOT take away from the enjoyment of it all. Your expectations should be that this is not a major theater production - it's a small local theater experience. So I'd say it's a show for everyone, but that kids 1 to 8 probably enjoy it the most. Great low key activity! Make sure you sit in the center aisle for best viewing! Shows change every week, as do the types of puppets. For example, some are hand puppet others are large marionette type puppets, sometimes they walk in the aisle etc. My kid doesn't like to be near them so we work around that by sitting further away. 5 stars because my kid is always happy when we leave. If you don't like it then you're still in Balboa park with a number of other things to do nearby."
