"Nice park the city has done a really good job in regards to cleaning the place up. The new playgrounds are great to bring the kids to there really big now. I go for a walk here in the mornings and there are alot of people very friendly walking and running around. Early in the mor ing there som homeless people walking around but they have never bothered me. Overall a good please to go sunrises are nice here and they have plenty of parking."
"Cool park at the bay to relax in. There is a playground for little kids. The drinking fountains are not on so plan accordingly. The sand is a bit dirty. Watch out for debris."
"Underrated. A very quiet and serene place to be, especially during the weekdays. Ride a bike or walk/jog on the sidewalk. Lay on the grass, do yoga or whatever the hell you wish to do. On weekends there tends to be larger gatherings. Various bonfire pits scattered across the area. Playgrounds available for children, and public restrooms available (though unfortunately, not the cleanest sometimes). The parking lots can be filled with some questionable RVs, but besides a few interesting characters no one really bothers you and tends to their own business. The north area of the park is also accessible through San Diego's public transportation system (the MTS) via the Blue Line trolley at the Clairemont Drive transit center. Don't be afraid to get your daily dose of vitamin-D by coming out here! (p.s. this is also a nice area to watch the 4th of July fireworks from Sea World's firework show)"
"Went there with my family on a Wednesday. There were almost no people there, maybe because the weather was overcast and windy. There are grassed areas to sit. I saw a few barbecue pits to cook some meat. To my surprise, they allow you to do bumfires at night. Restrooms were near by. Parking was free and easy. The water was clean, I didn't see any algae. There is an area where people were allowed to drive their boats into the water. I would recommend this place if you are running a little short on cash. You may bring the kids and spend a few hours of relaxation, specially if the weather is nice and warm. ❤️❤️❤️"
