"Great place to be if you want to feel like you're on the beach only not in the sand. You can be lying on a blanket in the grass like at the park yet feel like you're on the beach!"
"Went to the park to meet up with a group of friends so we could watch the sunset. The coaster runs right by the park. There is a pay-for parking area across the street as well as some limited street parking if you are lucky. The area itself is beautifully maintained and clean. The grass looks like it's great to just lay in and look up at the sky or spend time watching surfers telling yourself that one day you too will surf. There's a path that runs along the edge of the hill/cliff with a couple of benches here and there. The beach is below so it really is a good spot to take all this in. Check it out. Go for a sunset and I don't believe you'll be disappointed."
"Stunning ocean views, a newly redesigned playground, and scenic coastal trail for a family walk. A perfect place for the family!"
"Beautiful little waterfront park in Del Mar, located along a particularly lovely stretch of beach. And here's something special: apparently Del Mar did not get the memo from Carlsbad, Oceanside, and all the other north county towns about the need to ban dogs EVERYWHERE. You can actually walk your leashed dog on the beach. Walking south from the park, you can go all the way to Torrey Pines beach (where, of course, dogs are again banned, so you need to turn around). Part of the year dogs can even be off leash before 8 a.m. (Not sure why they don't do this year round, but just allowing dogs at all in the canophobic north county is such a welcome difference that I won't complain!)."
"One of the best coastal spots along the California beaches, Beautiful and serene. So well maintained too. Yes, parking is a challenge"
