"I just hoop here, but this parks days are numbered. It is actually owned by SDG&E and will be redeveloped along with the land that the adjacent power plant used to be. I personally will miss it. Nothing better than a cool ocean breeze and an awesome sunset while getting buckets e.g tickling the twine, a.k.a. shootin' hoops!"
"A great place to have gatherings, there's a little park for the kiddos, we have even played kickball there!! There's also a basketball court. A good space to run around the perimeter of the park. Only downside is the traffic on the southside of the park. Please be careful with little ones while there but like I said, the kids park is on the opposite side. Otherwise very nice area, and open."
"I stopped at Cannon Park for a short rest and snack while cycling. It is a peaceful park with several playground structures, basketball, and large ball field. Some kids were having much fun."
"Small, quiet park and playground in Carlsbad, walking distance to the beach. This is a nice spot that’s set pretty far back from the street. We had a good time running around, playing on the structure. There’s limited parking on the south end of the park. If you miss the parking and end up going west on the 1, your gonna be stuck on it for awhile because there’s no u-turn spots. People brought their dogs and had them running off leash. It wasn’t an issue, but be aware. There was a handicap portapotty bathroom, which was in as good of condition as you can imagine, but it was convenient nevertheless. There’s a basketball court, big field with backstop, and a reasonably sized playground that wasn’t too tall for younger kids. We were in the area and stopped here for a bit, but we would definitely stop by again if we were nearby."
