Reviews of Los Angeles County Fire Museum
"This was an amazing experience me and my dad loved binge watching Emergency! and I lost my dad in 2017 due to a heart attack and when I found out there was a museum that had the real Engine 51 and Squad 51 I knew he would’ve taken me but 7 years later I was able to go see the actual Engine 51 and Squad 51 I wish he would’ve been there with me but I know he was with me in spirit and that’s why I felt so welcomed"
"Unfortunately it wasn't what I expected, I was really excited to take my 2 year old son to this museum because he is into firetrucks and he finds them amusing, we went in and we were received in a kind way when paying up front, but once going in there was a group of older men sitting at a table. My son is an active and curious one he was everywhere, I was right behind him when he was trying to get on the firetrucks it's a learning process to teach a toddler, I was asked to either leave or go sit my son at the back in the children's area. I believe this is a museum to explore? Not to go sit my son at a corner, I can have him sit and watch TV or color at home. Plus my son didn't destroy anything because I was right behind him at all times. He is an older person i didn't get his name but he was balled with white mustache, he might not have the patience but if so why work there? I even still asked if he can take a picture with my son not knowing we would get treated this way. Not only that but I guess he has forgotten what it is to be a child. Don't forget you were once a child. Don't kill a child's enthusiasm."
"This was a great experience! I went for the vehicles from Emergency! Since ive been a fan since it originally aired, but there were othergreat exhibits related to fire as well. The docents were awesome, helpful and very knowledgeable and fan-friendly!"
"You don't have to be a fireman to enjoy this great little museum, especially the displays from the TV show "Emergency". It's only $5.00 to enter. The guides are very informative. They are retired firemen. Plenty of free parking in the back. They have small gift shop also."
"This is the most wonderful hidden gem of Southern California. Only $5 to get in, free for military or first responders. The docents are retired firefighters who are knowledgeable and take their time to explain every piece of machinery. If you love the show Emergency! you will enjoy the museum. I will be coming back."
